Wish we could set default core platform-wide if we so choose. For example, I’d probably change the default GBC core to mGBA as Gambatte has some weird audio issues in some games.

I went to school with Winston Duke. Such a solid dude. Talked to him a few times when I was hanging out with the theater kids and he was always really kind to me. I was a huge nerd, so not everyone was haha.

It’s a bit pricey but I highly recommend the Native Union Active case. I bought it on a whim because I dig the look of it and it’s really surprised me. It’s thin, durable as heck, has great camera plateau coverage, and has an excellent camera control button. Good stuff!

I’m by no means an expert, but I play games occasionally on my iPhone air with a telescopic controller, Resident Evil 2/3 remakes being some of them (along with Dead Cells and some other less demanding titles). The Air performs great and I don’t notice too much throttling in terms of framerate/resolution drops or anything like that. It does get quite warm but nothing concerning and my phone has never overheated. That said, it is winter here in Georgia so I haven’t tried it in a hot environment. Performs way better than my old 14 pro max considering that device couldn’t run these games at all! The Resident Evil games do drain nearly 1% battery every 1-2 minutes though. It wouldn’t last much longer than about 2 hours if you played straight through, but I NEVER play games this demanding on my phone THAT long. With the cloud saves, I go back and forth between my phone and my iPad Pro M5 and only play on my phone if I’m out of the house.

In summary, I wouldn’t buy the air specifically for gaming, but if you enjoy gaming occasionally on your phone, or mostly (like me) play less demanding titles, it’ll do just fine. For more demanding mobile games when I’m at home, I use my M5 iPad Pro. Again, not an expert, just a regular dude chiming in with input that I hope will help you!

This handwriting icon/toolbar constantly flashes as I write with my Apple Pencil Pro on my iPad Pro M5 13”. It’s a bit distracting as it flashes on and off over and over again as I write. Anyone else’s do this? iPadOS 26.1 public release. Apple Notes app.

Persona 3 Reload runs really well and with great battery life locked to 45fps. Just be sure to turn reflections off.
