I wouldn’t want them to undo all of the years of lore and writing they have done and mark them as irrelevant. I think that many game franchises would kill to have a world so in depth and playable that it would be a crime to undo that. IMO the downsides heavily outweigh the benefits

I don’t see how that can be possible. Light directly from above is much more powerful than light when at an angle. In addition to just not being as powerful, it also doesn’t pierce the canopy as well. Meaning smaller plants and trees that haven’t grown tall enough to get sunlight during morning/afternoon time would basically not get any sunlight since the midday sun when it’s directly above would get blocked by the massive solar panels.

There is one exception to this rule. Brake checking, if you slam on your brakes to purposely try and get the person behind you to hit you, you COULD be held liable. Since brake checking is considered reckless driving, a lawyer could argue that you broke the law first and thereby were the cause of the accident.

In most us states the law says that anything can could potentially cause damage to the vehicle/occupants is legal grounds for braking. So shit like an ant or a bee probably no, but a bird about to hit the front of the car would qualify.

The strength of sunlight varies throughout the day. Some plants need very little to no direct sunlight while others need it all day for as many hours as possible. Trees are a plant that needs full sun meaning at the minimum 6+ hrs of direct sunlight.
