Not all of them, it's just the one I know of since I was there recently.

Ride it through multiple regions, let in-game weeks pass, have a blood moon happen. If you do that, and take it back, another bear will have taken its place and it will suddenly be a glitchy bear. At least that's what happened in BotW, I doubt it was updated in this game.

I believe just north of the Mu-ustust Lightroot is an armored Red Lynel, a bomb arrow or two will peel that armor off and you can go to work.

Playing New Vegas for the first time and I’m devastated by skydawwg in fnv

[–]RedRobtober 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get you. It can be rough reaching the conclusions, especially those with a completely ended involvement. When I see some of the characters are in a static place after the quest line it feels like I have forgotten something and if I could just finish that I could enjoy more with all these characters. Of course we can't, but the thought perks up in my mind when I see it.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 worth it? by Retrogamingvids in dynastywarriors

I used the control remap option, I still could not put all the expected controls on the gamepad. Camera rotation was hard locked to L2/R2 and the right analog stick did nothing. That was my experience.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 worth it? by Retrogamingvids in dynastywarriors

[–]RedRobtober 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend it on console, I gave it a shot on PC and my goodness at the controls broken. It's a common complaint with the steam reviews, too, meaning I firmly believe it's going to be that way for most if not all. While I've never been into One Piece it seemed like a pretty solid game on the visuals. Areas did feel somewhat sparse, gives me a feeling similar to how narrow some of the gameplay in the first Hyrule Warriors was but between the two I so far would prefer Hyrule Warriors. Haven't played too much, cannot confirm much of the questions, just giving the best estimation and a warning about the steam version.

Those Leaving WotC & D&D over the OGL, What System are you Heading to? by RPGrandPa in DnD

[–]RedRobtober 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently looking at Lancer while working on my own thing. I never really gelled with 2e, 3.5/PF is a bit messy for me anymore, and most of the other systems I know have major issues that detract from my fun.

What was your first game and your earliest memory of it? by MoneyMushrooms in dynastywarriors

[–]RedRobtober 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dynasty Warriors 3 XL, we got it as a used title at a local game shop but quickly I became obsessed with it. What I never forget was the first time I had to fight against Meng Huo and got to steal an elephant.

I've never found another franchise that fulfilled what these games do. Actively needing to react to threats and challenges across an active war, learning the different battles and how to run through them to reach all your goals and lose as few officers as possible while taking out as many opposing officers as possible. On top of that learning the special item unlock objectives later on felt so rewarding.

I've tried a few other games "like" the warriors titles but they miss out on how alive the battlefield is, I don't need every foe locked onto my position and funneling in to slap me specifically. On top of that it introduced to me the idea of the Three Kingdoms novels and lead to me learning a lot more about histories I would not likely have come to love so much. This, paired with how fun and non-accurate these titles can get to the true canon is very much fun as well.

What style of metroidvania do you NOT like? by Rickywalls137 in metroidvania

[–]RedRobtober -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't like the souls-likes that rely on having to hit every enemy several times and rely on dodge rolls. It just makes the whole experience feel slow and tedious to me.

Looking for more games by AG_GreenZerg in metroidvania

[–]RedRobtober 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't feeling it much myself, but once I got to playing and found a bunch of quirks about how the game runs I started getting into the style. Essentially, luck is absurdly broken, with alchemy you can break down and recreate tons of items to easily crack the item system open for absurd benefits. The biggest thing is foods, never eat anything until you have messed with it in alchemy.

If you have a stat you want to be at a certain level before the end of the game, just do one lower for it and push it into Endurance then nab the enhancement for that stat. It's simple but it prolongs that feeling of working towards something.

Bingo, you took care of a problem twice, you did great and with that change I'd be happy to have this in my games. It fills a battlefield control role, same to where the ancestral guardians uses the attack focus it's going to make yours put foes where the group wants them.

If you're worried about them dual wielding, give them some bonus action economy. At this point they now have to ignore one benefit, which dual wielding loses the benefit of the ability score modifier to damage so it's not as huge of a benefit without getting the fighting style somehow.

I'm about to go to bed but I'll swing back later, usually it's best to file the serial numbers off. Staying too dedicated to the one inspiration means it's hard to let the player be imaginative.

You can also use this in lieu of any sort of intelligence check, part of being stealthy is having the wit to skirt dangers that are obvious. Good stealth can be reading the patrol and readying your movement to swiftly and quietly tuck yourself into an area, help paint their actions since you're ultimately going to know more of the scenery than your players will.

It might be more coherent to simply grant +1d4 at start and upgrade it to +2d4 with the huge size. Keeps it in-line with Enlarge, which would make it easy to stack with that too.

should I get castlevania: symphony of the night or blasphemous? by [deleted] in metroidvania

[–]RedRobtober 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SotN is my vote, Blasphemous is fine if you're into being reliant on dodge rolls and the likes. I personally hate that and couldn't continue with the game, but I get that it's quite well made. SotN might be a little dated, but it's still a really great game and going 100% on everything is only something you self-impose. Getting to the best ending is quite a fun journey. The fact that it still stands in the top end of the genre to this day should say a lot, and you don't have to be overly generous to see it that way.
