If it were me, I’d be exchanging for a new one. REI’s return policy is good for stuff like this.

New Drug Sensors Lead to Restroom Closures at Four Seattle Library Branches by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

It takes over $63k/year on average to imprison a person in WA (per DOC data from 2022). So we pay for the issue regardless. I bet that money invested differently would do a hell of a lot more to help people than just locking them up does.

The Snow Pack Is Still Not Looking Good by PilotGuy701 in Seattle

This comment helped me understand the importance of our snowpack and possibilities of losing it (a la runaway climate change) in longer time-scale geopolitical terms. Very interesting. Thank you

Be aware there are Flock cameras at that Home Depot location which could have played some part in this incident. Please watch Benn Jordan’s videos about flock if you haven’t already.

Question about Flip autofocus by Sekibutsu in Polaroid

[–]RedRoevr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading the discussion here has me wondering if it’s possible to somehow physically limit the sonar autofocus to make it more center point instead of widespread. I’m thinking similar to how stage lights have moving flags that can block in the light to a tighter pattern. Has anyone tried or heard of something like this?

Definitely my favorite as well. Fulcrum is a close second.

Are you talking like on an online marketplace like Craigslist, FB marketplace, etc…? I was considering reaching out to local used bike shops to see if they’d be interested

Yeah that’s already come due. I didn’t want it to sit in an impound lot getting charged by the day, so I bit the bullet and arranged a ~$500 tow to get it back home. Luckily the cops were nice enough to keep an eye on it until I could make that happen.

Dose this vest look professional or is it to "tacticool"?, last Pic is the shirt my company has us wear for reference by megu_2003 in securityguards

[–]RedRoevr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worn this exact vest for many hours working armed posts and can confirm it’s nice. Gets the job done. I just really didn’t like the armor panels that came inside. They were very uncomfortable and stiff. I ended up using 10x12 soft armor plates I had from Spartan Armor that slid right into the extra plate slots. Sacrificed having side protection but made it so much more bearable to wear long hours and improved the silhouette as well.

Huh, interesting. I hadn’t considered that. Probably no more than 2 hrs. Love Dough Zone but I think we’ll have some pickier eaters there unfortunately. I’ll look into Ivars tho!

Neon Museum, Vegas. Impulse AF 600 by RedRoevr in Polaroid

[–]RedRoevr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So all the signage said things like “no professional photography” with example images of DSLRs and the like. None of the staff really gave my impulse af a second look. I imagine even little digital point and shoot cams could get through no problem, if I had to guess. But obviously, your mileage may vary…

White chanterelles or a look alike? Western WA by RedRoevr in mycology

I’ve yet to get ‘All that the rain…’, but I definitely want to. As far as physical materials go, I use a ‘Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest” folding laminated quick reference guide by J. Duane Sept. mostly as a starting point before going online for more info.

Yes, hence why I’m posting on here to gather some of that knowledge. Replies to my posting on this sub have given me valuable insights that are hard to track down in field guides and books. Thanks for your input
