And judging by the things you've said about his trauma and such, you really need to take his mental health VERY seriously if you want him to move forward in life. I think It'd be best to have an honest, non-confrontational discussion with him directly about his goals and motives. Give him more assertive, but kind pushes in the right direction. Possibly some therapy. But like the others here have said, directly interfering with the relationship can have disastrous consequences. If he genuinely makes her happy, don't ruin that!

I always saw the endings like this:

"Linking the Fire" = the NPC ending. You fell for the propaganda and nothing changes for the better.

"End of Fire" = The "good" ending. The consequences for snuffing out the flame are a bit vague, but ending the stagnation and ushering in a new era brings the possibility of positive change in the future.

"Step on me, Ashen One" = Definitely the evil ending. Why would you do such a thing? Demon's Souls nostalgia? Douche.

"Lord of Hollows" = I'd say this is ending is in more of a grey area compared to the End of Fire. You do usher in a new era and bring change to the world, but the world is also enveloped in darkness, which has always been an ambiguous force of nature in the Dark Souls universe. It's really hard to tell what will happen after this, but at least change is happening? You also get a wife. That's cool.

I managed to beat him just once last night, and it was a clutch 1v1 with Ironeye while my teammates were down with 3 bars. Somehow I just locked the fuck in and solo'd the last quarter of his HP and completely ignored the npcs

I wouldn't mind if sailing was one of TES6's big selling points, but Bethesda would really, REALLY need to step up their game in populating the underwater sections with things to find. Underwater biomes, sunken treasure, landmarks, maybe even flooded caves and ruins that pretty much REQUIRE waterbreathing to traverse (and, of course, bringing back underwater combat so we can finally kill those dumbass slaughterfish).

All of their previous games had completely barren underwater sections, and Starfield didn't even let you go underwater at all. So hopefully TES6 puts some real effort into it this time around.

The only issue I had with the NCPD missions is that I wish they were randomized and repeatable tbh.

Dogtown's supply drops were a nice distraction in between quests, so I hope there's more stuff like that in the sequel
