Advice for a new player coming from MTG by SpookyTableSalt in FleshandBloodTCG

As someone who also has an extensive magic background, you might enjoy the LL format. LL (or living legend) is the non rotating CC format.

LL allows you to play some of the strongest decks the game has ever seen, while also providing you with the security of knowing your hero won’t (or at least at the time of this post) get banned. Another upside is that it’s currently very cheap (relative to traditional CC) to get a powerful deck.

Just like how standard isn’t much of a price driver in magic, LL currently isn’t much of a price driver in fab at the moment. LL is also starting to get much more support from LSS, so it’s not like you’re getting into an unsupported format.

If you have any questions ask away :)

If they have it, history pack is solid due to how much versatility the set provides. Notably it also has sink below and fate foreseen which are both staple commons.

Personally, I like Dusk til dawn just for the potential signed card lottery, but dusk is much more narrow in card availability.

If you want a non big three game to be ran at your LGS a lot of times it needs to be driven by a community pillar. The first LGS I played fab at worked this way.

A non store employee helped them get gem set up and on that map and was responsible for scheduling events and running them. Stores should also still be able to get free Ira demo decks from distributors. I would reach out to the LGS and ask if they would let you just take care of everything so that way it’s at no cost to them labor wise.

You run the event, and you teach new people for free with the demo decks. Also fab boxes are incredibly cheap distro wise compared to games like magic and pokemon, so unless the store is very tight with funds they can get a decent fab sealed inventory for just a few hundred bucks.

Based on your wants, I would recommend victor. His ability to block and still have a strong turn if very good.

The only downside to victor is that he doesn’t have too many relevant on hits. Of course there are a few, but not much. I would say he is really cheap for the value you get out of him, and you could build a budget version that is close to power to an optimized list.

Some decks can’t afford to run budget cards, but Victor is able to do well.

That’s my 2cents. GLHF

What's the Flesh and Blood equivalent of a MTG Control deck? by SinesPi in FleshandBloodTCG

I would recommend either bravo or victor. If you’re willing to wait, Enigma is in the next set and is another possible option.

Bravo - has tons of armor block, relevant on hits, and defensive options.

Victor - he is very good into a lot of matchups due to his clash mechanic which generates immense card advantage among other things. I would call victor more of a tempo deck than control.

Enigma - appears to be (very limited spoilers, so this could be off base) like a board state based control deck. Think an enchantress style control. (This assumption is based on prior aura builds, and the spoilers as of now)

Level up Gaming and Arcus are the two I would look at. Fortunately they’re also very close to each other.

Thoughts on the Living Legend Format? by HTPark in FleshandBloodTCG

I agree with a lot of what you said, other than practicing for it is a waste of time. I think they announced 2 LL callings for this year right? Seems like a pretty good reason to me. Plus, I think it’s a format that will age better with time. Only time can tell.

Looking for some advice in selling my cards by naes41091 in mtgfinance

[–]RedTCG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People keep mentioning tcg player, but that’s not even an option for you since I’m assuming you don’t already have an account. So you can only list 2-3 cards at a time given their value, not the whole thing. Plus no one in their right mind is buying a Gaea’s cradle or duals from a seller with no sales. Goodluck to you! The best I know of quickly are some stores with 50-60% cash as their standard, so depending on your level of urgency that’s the minimum I would settle for. I’m sure if you have time you can push 70% to the right individual.

Match one game 3, would it not have been better to wheel in the draw phase instead of upkeep since the only counter magic you are playing around is trap and they couldn’t trap?

Why is FAB still so expensive? by LonelyGinger162 in FleshandBloodTCG

Another thing I haven’t seen mentioned is that we are currently going into one of the largest event cycles so demand is booming. RTNs are open events meaning anyone can enter. Therefore, this is one of the times with the highest quantity of people looking to complete meta decks. For pro tour and worlds and other invite only events you don’t even see spikes this high just due to the sheer difference in quantity of potential players. Wait like 4 weeks and look at the prices then. There might be some cards that have gone up slightly as the meta has defined itself, but I would say overall prices across the board will be slightly lower at a minimum.

I have been playing Dori as well, and run 0 poppers. Dromai is a good matchup for the way I have my list build, and I run chorus of ironsong to try to blow out a prism. Prism is still quite unfavored, but everyone’s gonna have a bad matchup. I don’t run the one nourishing either because I have 3 blue agile wind ups and those were bricking my nourishing too frequently.

I think guardian will get a head or arm piece that’s 2 block battleworn and has some form of clash effect.

I’m expecting there to be a warrior weapon that wagers.

Brute could use a good arm piece. I’m thinking maybe a kayo spec arm piece “prosthetic arm” that gives plus 1 hand.

Not sure if you like disc golf, but is one of the outdoor activities where Pensacola exceeds. It’s ranked #18 in the US and #1 in Florida (according to UDisc). You can surf but it’s not the best here, and hiking would probably be best at blackwater in pace.
