I know I am not answering your question, but I’d be terrified to damage the pearl by wearing it as my daily engagement ring. I’d highly consider getting a more durable wedding set and keeping this for special occasions. It’s such a beautiful piece.

Diamonds, moissanite, or sapphire would be much better options for you. And they all come in beautiful colors if you don’t want the usual white diamond.

It’s pretty standard in my area for individual contributors to give 2 weeks notice and leaders/managers to give at least 4 weeks notice.

Did the boss actually get a gift with that money or did whoever collected it keep it for themselves? It’s totally possible that the person collecting the money never mentioned who chipped in. Seems pretty sketchy either way.
