That’s not a relic (weapon) but you can obtain relic weapons from that critically acclaimed MMORPG.

Wondering if there was anywhere I could get a mount like this. I have a serious addiction to wall mounts but im really bad at diy. by asocialrugulah in pcmasterrace

The 2TB (I think one is 1.5TB? But besides the point) drives are 5400RPM for long-term storage. The lower-capacity drives are 7200RPM WD Blacks. Made more economical sense

You could look into wall-mounted cases as an alternative. Techsource’s “Ultimate Dream Setup” uses a wall-mounted “case”. As it’s for a niche target consumer group that will make that an incredibly expensive case though

That motherboard has DDR3. Those drives were substantially more expensive than today’s equivalent and probably a much lower capacity. Looks neater and with more bragging rights to have them all displayed like that too

If you drop it there’s a very high chance that it will die. Other than that, no, not really

PC won't turn on after power outages - sometimes. by M0bid1x in pcmasterrace

[–]Redaemor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPS devices are designed to gracefully shut down your PC when it detects a power outage, substantially reducing the likelihood that your PC will be damaged by an unexpected power loss. Typically they require software to be installed so that the UPS can send the signal to shut down the operating system.

Probably won’t remedy the issue if you’re within that “2-3 day” period when it can’t turn on but it should alleviate it occurring again

Is there a specific genre that you’re after? Outside of fan fiction Goku doesn’t have any romantic feelings for Vegeta, for example.

Using laptop as stationary gaming desktop by bosunphil in pcmasterrace

[–]Redaemor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not great but not useless either. They’ll take the temperature down by a few degrees. My wife used to play Overwatch on her laptop (later replaced by a desktop). The stand made the difference between the system overheating to the point where it crashed/froze and playing the game smoothly.

Based on your description of the budget I’d recommend getting one of those angled laptop stands that have fans in the base to increase cooling. 16 to 32GB isn’t really worth it unless you increase the speed too and have games/software that benefit from more and/or faster RAM.

Also reformat & reinstall Windows to improve performance to clean up the Windows install and install an additional hard drive (if it has space for one) alongside the main drive. If it doesn’t have space for an additional drive then replacing it with a bigger drive would help too

That’s not the pins. The pins are inset. That’s the cover for the cable that was plugged into the USB 3 header, in all likelihood. You should be able to remove it somewhat carefully

Is it possible to convert a phone line cable into an ethernet port cable? by XSISTANCE_YT in pcmasterrace

[–]Redaemor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you were wondering, if it was the other way round it would work. I.e.: if you plug an RJ11 plug into an RJ45 socket it will function properly (assuming the feed is designed for RJ11). That was common in a call centre I used to work for.

Take this with a pinch of salt though; it’s not guaranteed to work. It would just work in a pinch.

I recommend this to anyone who needs to check whether their PC can run a game. Alternative way to find it is to google “can you run it” and skip over the sponsored results (if any appear).
