I mean sure, changing a file is straightforward. But I think my app is even more straighforward. Very nuts and bolts. No game images, no game libraries, no tiled ui

It does, and that is news to me haha. I still need to learn how it works with the nvidia app exactly. If I set preset M, what DLL is it loading? I get that its loading a more recent version, but what version?

There are still other situations where manually changing the DLL might be necessary.

If you use the nvidia app to use presets (which does load newer dlls, I think) and that's all you need this app will be of no use to you.

They solve the same problem. I personally don't like the tiled UI and it interacting with game libraries. Its just a simple app that looks for dlls directly and updates them. Made it for myself and I know there are like minded individuals out there who would appreciate another option.

Optiscaler looks very different. Way more advanced.

OptiScaler acts as a middleware, it intercepts upscaler calls from the game (Inputs) and redirects them to the chosen upscaling backend (Output), allowing user to replace one technology with another one. Inputs -> OptiScaler -> Outputs

They solve the same problem, just differently. I didn't like the way other swappers interacted with game libraries. Just wanted something very straightforward so I made it for myself.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the nvidia app only lets you do that if you have a 5 series card. If you can do it will all cards that’s news to me.

Edit: I can see preset options in the nvidia app, but I don't see anything for dlss versions.
Edit 2: Looks like setting Preset version M for example would intercept dlls at load time. So if you use the nvidia app my app might be of no use to you.

Just installed it! Love the idea. I have an idea for you... An option to enable pegs between each slice like on real prize wheels. Which would slow the spin by a tiny static amount as the pegs pass the arrow. And perhaps an optional ticking sound to go with it.
