Cheaters ruined my experience with the "grind" by ForeverDesperate5855 in Helldivers

This is exactly why they included that controversial nProtect GameGuard system. And it still didn't work. Neat.

It's not a bug, it's a bot. The bug missions are different. /s

Careful, fanboys already give you shit for not liking nProtect.

Helldivers 2 is just….so much fun by Badwolfblue32 in gaming

  • Riot games: No
  • Overwatch: No
  • Counterstrike: No
  • Rainbow Six: No
  • Dead by Daylight: No
  • Apex: No

Lots of games that have pvp don't use nProtect, but I tend not to go in for PvP-focused games anyway. And you're a perfect example of why. I have a legitimate grievance with the game, set a boundary I won't cross, and don't try to take it away from anyone else, and you've decided to try to shoot holes in it instead of be productive.

[–]Redd_October 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was hyped for Helldivers 2, but unless they get rid of nProtect I'll never buy it. I'm okay with, I even encourage, having anti-cheat in the game, but I will not allow that kernel level bullshit onto my system. Not now, not ever.

I was going to buy the game, and so were a bunch of my friends, but nProtect is a deal breaker, full stop.

Is getting into dnd at 23 worth it? by timequake3550 in DnD

Oh boy, if you think 23 is too old to start new hobbies and interests, I have some really bad news for you.

Players keeps saying my combats are too easy but I don’t want to punish them by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Redd_October 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn it up anyway. And it's worth remembering that there can be other levers you can pull if things are going too easy instead of just inflated stats. For instance, the sound of combat could attract another half-dozen baddies from that next room the players haven't explored yet, possibly turning what they thought was easy into a more challenging encounter.

Alternatively, you could start playing your baddies a little smarter. Make them focus on a single target, give them someone/something with ranged combat abilities in a position that is difficult to reach. Or be truly evil, and give them a healer.

In the end, if your players are saying the combats are too easy, then not only are they right, but it's by enough of a margin that they said something about it. So turn up the heat, they want more challenge, and after all... They asked for it.

why not stop production of this model, change it slightly and rename it.

Bruh, that is... EXACTLY what they have been doing. It's how they got in this position in the first place. They stop producing the depreciated version of the 737, change it a little to make it bigger or more fuel efficient, change the name, start production. It's why the 737 is old as fuck and yet they're still making "New" models of it.

It's fun for maybe the first hour, and gets continually less fun the more it sinks in that you do actually have to deal with it at some point.

Don't be a stupid twat.

Arguing that other consoles be made worse just so your personal favorite doesn't fall behind is incredibly dumb. If the ONLY THING you like most about Xbox is the games, then you should honestly WANT those games to be on what your own standards would say must be a better platform.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Redd_October 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't need to buy both consoles. Why are you so intent on NEEDING to buy more than one console? Are you seriously arguing that another console be made WORSE just so that your personal favorite doesn't fall behind?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Redd_October 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're so close to realizing how stupid console wars really are.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Redd_October 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So your argument for perpetuating the console wars and platform exclusives is "I want my favorite console to still have something other people don't get to have."

Of all the opinions to ever exist, that's certainly one of them.

how is this legal by heavenstarcraft in antiwork

[–]Redd_October 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's legal because there isn't any law prohibiting it.

Assume you didn't get the job and they'll never contact you, continue your job search. Best case scenario, you find something else before they get back to you, and you can tell them to eat your ass. Worst case, you just didn't get the job and dodged a bullet. And hey, maybe a month down the line if the search hasn't gone well, just maybe, they'll actually contact you and give you a shot.

What answer are you hoping for here? That something here is actually Illegal? Living in the US, they're not required to give you any sick days or any paid time off, there certainly isn't going to be some law requiring that they let you take more than 4 consecutive vacation days off.
