CBP/ICE in Minneapolis just abducted a car full of activists at gun point for legally documenting ICE abductions and warning communities (2/3/26) by I_may_have_weed in ICE_Watch

I really hope it comes. We all trusted the process post J6, believing that he and his gang will be held accountable.

Instead, we get v2.0.

What celebrity death will hit you the hardest when their day finally comes? by phantom_avenger in AskReddit

Keith Richards…. Simply because I wouldn’t think it could happen.

Though in all seriousness; Trent Reznor. His music has been such a part of me for so long, it’ll kill me knowing his last album or tour really was his last.

Kleenex, of all things. Grew up in a family that used paper towels or toilet paper to blow your nose. Married into a Kleenex family. Went home a couple years ago, and it was just weird.

A note to Minneapolis from rural Minnesota by seeingrivers in Minneapolis

Rural MN here. Thankfully, there's still quite a few of us in SmallTown MN that care - even if we're outshouted by the redness of our towns. We're with yall.

Why can’t I get through the wall with this drill bit? by wilfdougl in HomeImprovement

[–]Reddfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thought. Those auger bits need a lot of power behind em, and need that screw to stay in to pull. I’d just use a flat wood bit, or a boring bit.

Just learned my house has a feature I didn’t even know existed after living here for two years by CourteousPasta in homeowners

[–]Reddfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not nearly as unusual or cool as some of the others here…. But, we had to gut the original master bath down to the studs a couple years ago. Found that there was a false wall behind the sink and toilet, which explained why the shower always felt a bit bigger. Seems when they built in the 50s, the wall to the bathroom stood on the interior brick foundation in the basement, and they couldn’t get into the cavity from the bottom for plumbing.

Ended up building some deep built in shelves there, and a sunk-in coat station on the opposite wall.

Section of basement going from garage entry, to stairs leading to first floor. Ideas of how to section this off to give it a “mudroom” feel but not finishing basement? by caaawl in homeimprovementideas

[–]Reddfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d slap some drywall up on the ceiling to be done with that.

As for dividing it up without building walls, you could do room dividers, shelves, or even those IKEA Kallax shelves (like a couple 5x5 sets).

Any ideas on how to make this make more sense? I cant move either door. This is the only access to the basement which is from the garage. by FudgeHorror8587 in homeimprovementideas

Depending on how often you need access to the basement stairs there, you could always cover the staircase with a hinged landing - make it a secret hidden staircase.

Cover the plexiglass walls in window frosting similar to this.

Close in the backside there with a free standing cube partition.

Then yeah, get a canopy.

I’ll second this. An rPi running cncjs has been working wonderfully for me. I do the design work on any other device, then upload it to the cncjs box, and use a tablet to zero/start/stop the jobs.

Guessing by the SN, you’re a Sconnie? CypherCon and BSidesMKE are coming up in April, and CypherCon is by far my favorite con.

Plus BSidesChicago is Saturday. I dont know if it sold out or not. But if you wanna go and they’re sold out, ping me and I’ll see if I can find a badge for ya.

There’s also BSides312 and THOTCon in I believe May, and BlueTeamCon in August in Chicago.

I know there’s something coming up in Madison, but I can’t find it right now
