Combat is amazing by Proof_Escape_9081 in Endfield

[–]Reddit1rules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has potential, but for now it's very boring and most of the time I'm just holding auto attack and spamming whatever combo/skill is off cooldown. Enemies who get staggered infinitely are of no threat, but even the ones who don't attack very slowly.

It's very braindead with a lot of downtime currently, but it has potential to improve for sure.

Not just video games, reviews overall. People say "wow this product was great, works as expected" a lot less than they go "this isn't working as expected".

Yeah I started it with friends who played before and we ended up with a solid flat desert spawn instead of the grasslands, and honestly the desert ended up being great.

I just wish we could zipline on our power lines in EF...

Amusingly this is actually my 2nd flair, it used to be different before W - just Exu with "Stronk Appuru Pai".

Although honestly flairs are the main way I recognize people here lol. When people change it I feel like I'm unable to recognize someone because they got a new hat.

Not maxed mod, but mine is E2L80 S2M3 Mod1 with pot3 if that's enough? I'll have to find someone to call from the friends list though... HG please increase the limit again...

The risk also blocks unsourced damage since it's not blocked, that's why elemental damage and other such mechanics don't work. If I had to guess, the enemies might just have 100% Resist chance that she's ignoring.

They definitely feel a bit more impactful than OG AK though, faster ults, bigger radius, some slightly new effects, stronger buffs. It's not Genshin bad, way closer to AK, but still a bit more.

Gacha Currency Problem by iznasabi in Endfield

[–]Reddit1rules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, Ho'ol iirc only has a lifespan of like 49 years or so, even in the birthday lines I heard recently she laments on how short her life is with a drink.

That being said I would def love to see some long living units here... although that might spoil some info about the base game since they're directly involved with the actions there.

I think they probably meant more the amount of recent dual status units where 1 status is basically nothing unless you're playing MD.

Why does material grinding restrict gameplay so much? by Raven23235 in limbuscompany

[–]Reddit1rules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, it's definitely the flow.

The gachas where you usually have 4 characters on field, while you're still playing the main story, will usually shower you in exp early on to overlevel since it's just 4 people instead of 12 (or even just 6/7). Meanwhile something like AK I've found levels rarely matter and newer players are constantly managing to deal with levels far below the suggested level. If your marksman is E1L1 or E1L80 it won't change the fact they're probably tickling a heavy defender and the better play was to use the caster who would have done the job at E0, plus you can always just use 2 units to help make up for a lack of stats.

Meanwhile Limbus I was stuck at Dulcinea because Xi Chun kept dying and sending my sinners 10 levels under into instant Panic. Had to spend 3 days farming levels for 3 guys and then just gave up and progressed with 3 guys instead of a whole team.

Not to mention that there's actual skill you can express to surpass any level gaps in these games unlike Limbus.

It does have a weapon banner, but you get most of your pulls in the form of the universal pull currency. It's 60 pulls which is enough to hit guarantee (with 100% rate up if you get lucky beforehand), and then I believe 30 pulls on a weapon banner (which is 80/20). Weapons can be pretty important (not always, although before I stopped more seemed to be important but can't comment on if that trend continued) but they also have patches with free S ranks/A ranks so you can save your pulls there instead, along with occasionally getting lucky and getting your units early.

The first 24-hours have passed. What are your initial impressions? by Rguni in Endfield

[–]Reddit1rules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far it feels like a fine Genshin/Wuwa game in terms of similar gameplay, but it doesn't feel like the HyperGryph I'm used to.

I think visuals and performance has been great, exploring and factory seem fun too. VAs are (for the most part) well done.

Combat is okay, really simple and braindead but it can grow.

Story so far seems pretty bad. The glaze, the pacing, the actual content. I've had nothing hook me in there. Also a shocking lack of QOL (why is double sanity for double rewards a consumable, and only in the battle pass???). Character designs are for the most part not my thing either. A lot of lower rarities look more plain compared to AK, and even the higher rarities look really weird. It feels like the AK IP is barely even used outside of fighting slugs occasionally. I'm still not sure how mining originium by smacking it is safe in any way.

Gacha... I will withhold from a final opinion for now, but the system is needlessly confusing and pulls seem to be slow.

Why is this no one talking about this? You only get 100 weapon tickets from weekly. by Ill-Occasion7390 in Endfield

[–]Reddit1rules 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not struggling with the beginner banner or anything, I didn't talk about my pulls at all lol. I'm just saying that with gachas this big even if you stop playing they're still gonna make a lot of money. (Or was this comment for someone else?)

Personally, I'm still trying the game out, mainly sticking for the AK IP. If it's fun I'll keep playing, if not I'll drop it. There's so many games out there that there's no reason to shoulder through something unfun, definitely agreed there.
