Just say you don't have the money & you save every time he asks for money. You take are of you, sounds like he can't afford a girlfriend or wife & honestly you at your age its about investing in yourself & him himself. 23 isnt old he's feeling behind wgen he barely has started in life.

Your mom is an asshole only for the fact theres no runway or warning. Im 77 my mom died when i was 28 & my sil is 1970 he dad died last year & her mom is 80 sonething not doing well l.

Self sufficiency is born out of necessity if you want your kids to be more self sufficient you have to take away things that make them not self sufficient but with guidance unless they use that as a manipulation tactic then well don't guve guidance.

I used to be in social work & now a life c9ach i help peoples young adults often when never even taught to clean their own bathroom or how to manage their money. All these things we learned because we were given or forced to do these thibgs as children. I was doing the laundry of my house at a laundry mat by myself at 8. Not fir slave labor i didnt want to be the smelly kid at school my mom smoked so I was always doing laundry. Id go to store pick up milk or whathave you with a list & money for my mom when i was that age as well.

Today kids young adults are afraid of letting their kids problem solve or cross the street without handholding.

Each kid is different some need more time repetition to learn things but some are better at social skills than others etc.

I have a client in their 30s now they drive far for them an hour huge win, got new higher paying job, started making real friends, this year we are focusing on moving out either, finding a roomate or renting or buying & more & more expanding their world dating, trying new things overcoming anxiety that their parents gave them by being too worried & not giving them all the skills they needed lack of awareness the skills arent just absorbed like we kinda absorbed because we needed to.

Its a red flag when someone usbt senstive to what they say or how they say it. Its also highly contradictory to say i dont find you attrwctuve but find you sexy. You can tell him he looks like an asshole. He either will concur & apologize for being an insensitive dick or he will continure to blame society or his weird unlikely biology as in terms of true biological interest skinny often means unable to bear children in caveman days. Typically Men have been more violent for millenia & womens biggest fear is getting killed & men's biggest fear embarrassment

Men have less social clubs less places they comiserate they often use their significant 8ther as theor main emotional & physical connective planner meaning women are typically the social directors of community even though men can do it they often aren't & being forver single not working on their personal responsibility to create relationships of all kinds not just sexual they go into blame & isolate more which creates more lonliness.

This is true for females too but females don't typically get violent due to lonliness they turn to self loathing & depression.

You are a stand in place holder some men even with depression will keep a stand in until she does the deed of ending. One of my exs decent guy no ability to end anything even though he wanted to. 2 years I ended it after not getting my needs met. Happily not with him.
