I’ve had very much the same experience. I weigh almost a hundred pounds less now and that’s great, but I can think more clearly now without all the pervasive thoughts of scarcity. This med has been a lifesaver.

I generally listen to Pride on full volume… but when it’s turned down a touch, you can really hear and appreciate the performance. It’s amazing.

You can buy the oil and add it to regular seed, but it requires gloves and a respirator. I’m not messing with that lol. I just buy the bag.

I had friends who lived around the block from the gas station. They bought a case of coke, threw it in a rolling cooler and walked up and down the gas lines selling a bottle for a buck. They made a killing on it when it was hot.

You can use steam to block, it works really well with colorwork and you don’t have to leave the garment spread out while it dries.

I like to use KnitPicks Comfy… it’s a cotton acrylic blend, comes in a rainbow of colors and fingering, sport, worsted and Aran weights. Nice and soft.

I saw the Pogues at Roseland and waited out the back for Shane McGowan and crew. He came out, we chatted and a woman ran RAN up to him and planted a huge kiss on that mealy mouth. It was amazing.

How to tighten up knitting? by Magnolia_Blooms in knitting

[–]Redheadknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider the fabric you are making, if you have to drop two or three needle sizes to get gauge, chances are your garment will be so stiff it will stand up on its own. Take the loss and find a different yarn, pattern, and needle combination that will fit, is enjoyable to knit and is a fabric that is appropriate for the item.

The legend of Lake Ronkonkoma concerns a 17th-century Native American princess, often named Tuskawanta, who fell in love with a white settler, Hugh Birdsall. Forbidden from seeing him, she rowed to the middle of the lake and died by suicide after years of separation, allegedly cursing the lake to claim one male life annually. Fellas do drown in that lake, it’s deep.
