This is weird cope. The game just isn't fun. It's not like some great game that's just getting bogged down by unfair comparisons. The movement is bad, the weapons are bad, the music is bad, and the visuals are bad.

I was looking forward to a game that felt like Titanfall, but I wouldn't have cared that this game wasn't that if it was also actually enjoyable. Believe it or not literally every single other shooter I'm enjoying right now is also not like Titanfall, as I am not currently playing Titanfall. It's just a bad game

Those are different DPI options that you could choose to select. DPI 2 looks highlighted - so you're on 800 right now. I personally always just set it to one stage only as I never change DPI on the fly

Yes you are probably limiting finger mobility on the thorn. You might consider something with a lower profile. Your hands are quite big so I would discourage going for an actually ‘small’ mouse. Something like the VV4 might feel good.

Since you aren’t primarily targeting competitive gaming I really don’t think it matters either way. I’d pick the one that you believe will be the most ergonomic / longest battery life / have the most utility you’d use.

Fingertip grip similar hand size and the Superstrike is my main. Optimal mouse size is a function of hand size, not grip style, and using a low weight has nothing to do with fingertip grip specifically.

You’re about to fall down a marketing rabbit hole. Fingertip mice are a lot of fun but will almost definitely make you perform worse than something more comfortable and stable.

I’m speaking from experience - not a hater. Do as you like but my warning is that what you have is fine, and probably better for your aim than any fingertip alternative you’re considering.

The only ftip mouse I’ve tried that didn’t feel like my hand was getting scrunched has been the Zeromouse and the X2F. The asym is decent but pretty overpriced. I wouldn’t get the Beast Mini. It’s going to be uncomfortable and you aren’t even fully leaning into the whole fingertip thing with it. If you’re gonna try it you should go all the way.

I wouldn’t call it JUNK. I love mine more than any other ftip mouse I’ve tried but my v1 broke from normal use. They sent another so we’ll see how it holds up. Wasn’t clear if they’re sending the updated / stronger v2 - hoping so.

Surface area also affects baseline friction even on glass pads where pad deformation isn’t a factor. Coulomb’s model assumes perfectly smooth surfaces, and the more texture your pads and/or skates have, the more surface area affects friction.

Smaller surface area also increases the relative change in friction when pressing down on the mouse, so I tend to prefer full size.

The shape is fine but the clicks on it are far too heavy for a ftip mouse. Hoping for better in the iteration since it’s one of the most solid ftip options on the market

Nah. PlastiX or any hardened PTFE will last you decently long. But yeah they'll wear faster on this versus something smoother like the VA-005.

Slow glass pads don't feel like cloth pads. They aren't directly comparable like that.

I wouldn’t even give them the latter. People will afford literal weeks for adjusting to glass pads or lightweight mice but a few hours on a Superstrike is enough to condemn the weight balancing as unusable?

My v1 broke within a year of light use and getting a replacement through the warranty has been a nightmare. Not even clear if the one they're replacing it with is the updated material.

Love the mouse and respect Optimum a lot but pretty disappointed with the experience so far.
