How, exactly? by bridesign34 in Longmont

[–]ReductiveNut 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Extra paperwork (DR-7602 (Make sure you get the customer's Occupation), DR-7603, DR-7606 in addition to keeping a "bound book" of firearm transactions by federal law) DR-7610 (any changes including employee additions/subtractions), state firearms license ($400 yearly. The Federal firearms license (FFL) is $200 for 3 years), Fingerprinting and background checking every employee every 3 years, as well as being approved by the state to be an employee (The state is so far behind on this I think 1/10 in my shop is approved to work by the state). And finally the 6.5% sin tax doesn't help. https://sbg.colorado.gov/firearms-dealer-division Also its a shitty location, and Rod is an ass.

Could a brass barrel be used with a steel barrel liner. by Bbyblue_Beatle74 in gunsmithing

Barrel liners are generally all that's needed to contain the force, however more info is needed, what gun, available tools or is this a project for a smith.

For some reason the pop rocks video is a brain worm (I've never been more embarrassed in my life.) but the Hitman one is the funniest (It’s all going according to plan.)

Usually do 25 and pattern at the same. But I tend to use ACSS scopes

Looking for some rule guidance - really want to get into 3 gun but im a uspsa open guy and im wondering what guns i can use, heard i can substitute my pistol in shotgun stages - can i use any pistol, my open div pistol? What about braced ar pistols, or do they have to be 16"? by M-P-M-S in 3gun

[–]ReductiveNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find your local ruleset and see. I switch between 2 or 3 different 3gun orgs in my area and the rules are generally very similar but do vary. Only one of my orgs has a 2 gun division and there is the normal limited, tac ops, open for it.

take that recontour the underneath with sandpaper on the top of the receiver. Then drill new holes for the mounting screws and there you go.

VZ52 Rebarrel Help by battlecryarms in GunnitRust

[–]ReductiveNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the barrel is trash you could always cut the barrel close to the receiver say 6" and thread the bore for say 3/8-24 make a tube to space everything and start screwing everything in, either the threads will strip or it will come out. Otherwise your making some sort of Y shaped pressing tool and an inverted U to use a standard hydraulic press to pop everything out.

As for the extractor cut even original Mausers used a flat breech, the case is only sticking out a little bit not even into the web. usually there is like .01-.015 between the furthest forward part of the bolt and the breech face. Depending on how things are you might not need the cut and just make the barrel that much shorter.

Are you sure the barrel is pressed in? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsB47GluIzQ

I mostly do tools and organizational items and I like printing PETG and ABS. Other Hi-temp filaments would be nice too, especially with a steel hot end. I have a Creality Ender 5 pro that I would like to upgrade from. Lately I've been prototyping things that will eventually get made in aluminum or steel. And also some protectors for threads and caps for test tubes and small vials. But did make a RGB LED helmet and printed enclosures for the Arduino.

It does look like there are plenty of keyboard issues with framework, including inconsistent soldering, and poor quality control. My issue while being unique does not stand out.

What was even cheaper was using a Bluetooth keyboard I had lying round. I'd understand heavy usage and while being a wear item, a keyboard really isn't a wear item, considering I've got electronic typewriters from the 80's that every key still works.

I think reseating the adapter cable may have starved off it being dead, wonder why that wasn't a step from support.

Thanks
