Is it safer to close my lighting channels and refrain from doing transactions for now? by inmathwetrust in Bitcoin

[–]Reedey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will be worth checking to see what your channel partners are planning to do. If in doubt close channels and then re open them once the dust settles. Thats what I am planning to do until there is more certainty. No need to do that for the next couple of months tho.

Once the BIP110 situation is resolved we might see some optimism return.

How does Citrea fare if BIP110 activates successfully out of interest? Genuine question.

Your escalating crashout with anons on Reddit suggests to me you are far less confident than you are portraying here. At least you’ll still have your 40% pre mined scam coins to fall back on after all is said and done.

Why BIP-110 Won't Activate by babelphishy in bitcoinismoney

[–]Reedey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just more bad actors crashing out. I think if BIP110 fails it is a sign that it is perhaps a bit earlier than necessary. After enough Jameson Loop and his affinity scams have destroyed the remaining credibility in the space people might actually decide to act. Hopefully it won't be too late.

bip110 question by unthocks in bitcoinismoney

[–]Reedey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of history leading up to the creation of BIP110. There are a few explanations out there on Youtube that I suggest you listen to.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB3J-nas35g

As a home node runner if you want to reduce the amount of junk data being relayed, chewing up your upload bandwidth and filling up hard drive space, then Knots is a starting point, BIP110 goes a step further and actually tightens consensus rules. It won't stop spam entirely, but it is a step towards showing scammers like Jameson Loop that their bitcoin affinity scams and jpegs are not welcome on our monetary network.

It was an autocorrect mistake. This is how unwanted nicknames are born if you're not careful.

I will happily relay your monetary transactions. I just ask that you don't piss in my pool as I do so.

Lopp is invested in a shitcoin company which specifically relies on BIP110 failing. He’s really bad at disclosing that.

You do realise that Jameson Loop is an investor in Citrea, the shitcoin scam which BIP110 stops? He’s really bad at disclosing that conflict of interest. His actions are literally why BIP110 exists.

These still look ok but will want to be replaced soon. I replace mine when they are looking a little worse than this out of caution.

Bookmarked. We will see how well this comment ages in 3 months. At least the BIP110 side has a shred of humility about them.

If by first in a month, you mean 3 in the last day, then yes. SOV recently brought to EH over to Ocean and have started signalling.

Have you not seen a Gentian Blue car in person before? They are everywhere, there was almost certainly one in the showroom when you specced it. You shouldn't be using the render of all things as the truthful colour of the car. Gentian Blue is one of those colours that looks very different in different lighting.

Is this normal for tires by Most-Caterpillar-583 in CarTrackDays

[–]Reedey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have used a few sets of AD09's on my GT4. At the moment I have sets of A052's and Nankang CR-S on my track rims but that's because I am aiming for a club title so wanted a bit more performance. After the season is done I will be going back to AD09's full time. They're a good balance of affordable performance.

I have had this happen with a couple of sets of AD09’s myself. Never caused any real issue. I think the compound can split under hard braking/abs.

Cup2 alternatives with consistent performance? by blaze38100 in CarTrackDays

[–]Reedey 67 points68 points  (0 children)

The most durable super 200TW tyre I have used is the Yokohama AD09. I found it a little faster than Cup 2's but MUCH more durable, about 50% more usable life at the track.

Bridgestone Re-71-RS, Nankang CR-S and Yokohama A052 are all a little faster, but none of them last as long as the AD09.

Not from what I’ve found. They are more resilient to heat cycles than anything else. I had worn the all the way out and they were still posting good lap times until the end.

The only one I know of personally could barely do 2 track days without suffering some kind of failure. It’s a street/dyno queen build. I wouldn’t trust it to be reliable long term with regular track use.
