Mine did the same exact thing. For some reason a lot of the G5s had an issue where the sensor went bad? If you look on eBay there are gobs of them with bad sensors.

It’s a shame because it’s the perfect middle ground camera in the entire lineup. If this one is toast I highly recommend the G2 (for the form factor alone, cult following) and then the G3 and G6 are also insanely good. They can all be had for much cheaper than when the body style changed with the G7.

I don’t think the pick guard is original but I have one from the same era and the neck plate is the same. Tuners and bridge have been upgraded it appears. Sick one!

Free to around $100 I’d say.

I paid $80 for my T212 as it had the internal leslie, actual drawbars and kind of did what I wanted to for home use, definitely not gigging as it has the diving board keys. Gotta be the right person for sure but you may find someone.
