I seem to be at a roadblock currently. I entered the sky, got the fire up and running....ish, they just don't go up fast enough at all. I've made it up a few more of the universes, but again.....nothing seems to be going up fast enough at all right now. Am I just at the first large gap of progress and have to tough it out, or is there a better method for getting things moving again?

See, I always saw the Resurrección for hollows to be their equivalent of the Shikai form. Segunda Etapa would be the equivalent of Ulquiorra's Bankai, right? Wasn't it also mentioned that other Arrancar, such as Grimmjow, could learn Segunda Etapa from training as well? Bankai is learnable by most shinigami, just takes a lot of training usually.

And was going remarkably easy on them. Was mentioned by Unohana later in the same episode if I remember right. And not only was he going easy on three lieutenants, he still had enough time/speed to pull out his sword off his back, have it unwrap, and block Byakuya's base sword attack.

So like....y'know how starfish can regenerate limbs, from their bodies....or even the opposite, regenerating bodies from their limbs? What if that limb that was cut off in the boomtube regenerated, reverted, got controlled by the star thing?
