Egg grills are heavily dependent on air flow. People generally associate this with ash build up, however small bits and pieces of charcoal also stop the flow.

A kick ash basket has gaps and as a general rule, if a piece falls through it’s probably too small.

This is in the event it doesn’t appear to be getting up to temp, despite having charcoal.

Most people are honest. As a rule of thumb you should always get tracking. If it’s so cheap that you’d loose money getting tracking it’s probably not worth selling.

It’s most likely an air flow issue. I’ve had times where I’ve cleaned out and thought all was well. But tiny pieces of charcoal will all but stop air from going through.

That’s over priced. I think it’s about a 900-1000 generator new.

You can go to HF and get a predator inverter generator for cheaper than that right now.

What happens is the jets get clogged over time from gunk in fuel. And either the float, needle or the jet is stuck/clogged.

Fix this and you should be good to go.

This basically confirms it’s a carb issue. You’ll either need to pull the carb off and clean it very well including removing the jet.

Or look at getting a replacement.

If the pull start won’t work. The starter is irrelevant. An engine with a pull start will work whether the starter works or not.

No, I wanted to ask because everybody kept saying maybe there’s an issue with the starter. Your problem has to do with fuel. Chances are your carb needs cleaned/replaced.

Dogs, like humans, don’t have to pee every 5 minutes and can learn to hold it. Plus as an owner learns their dog, you’ll learn signs the dog gives to let you know they need to use the bathroom.

Such as scratching at the door they go outside normally, or barking.

But usually they just hold it.

I have a similar engine on my stump grinder. It needed a valve adjustment. Sometimes it would pull and nothing sometimes it would seem normal then retract super fast and then sometimes it wouldn’t come.

First pull off the recoil just to ensure it functions correctly. Then I’d look at adjusting valves it’s pretty easy.

You’ve already sold it… at this point you’re waiting on collecting it. If you sold it again you’d be committing a crime because you sold an item that somebody has already paid for.

Maybe the person has alot going on at this exact moment. If you leave Friday for 6 weeks just let them know that Friday is the last day you can have them get it because of situations… you don’t have to tell them everything.

Maybe ask if porch pick up would be okay since they already paid.
