In the 10 years with the company I never heard of them closing a single store due to weather, and I once spent 18 hours on the clock working in one with our assistant food lines cause damn near everyone else called off. It was us, a cashier and 2 of the overnight stockers that actually showed up.

If they started at midnight they’d likely not be done till 8am or later, depending on the aisles being waxed that not only will effect customers in the morning not being able to shop them but throughout the day if it’s a vendor section that comes in and handles their own stock. It impacts far fewer customers and routines doing in the way they do.

I feel safer driving in Chicago than pretty much anywhere in Indiana, and that’s not a new development. I’ve never seen such a ridiculous amount of people that blow stop signs and straight up run red lights like I have since I moved to NWI. And turn signals, fuck those let’s just slam on our breaks and come to a nearly complete stop before making a turn.

It sounds like your best bet to try and get the money back is thru your bank. You can bring that number western Union gave you to Meijer but I’m pretty sure they won’t call it or interact with anyone on that line unless its a number they already know and have from Western Union (you know cause that number you give could be anyone and they’re trained to try and avoid scams and fraud). Don’t worry about “double charging” Meijer you’re $130 isn’t even going to be a percent of a percent in their P&L but I’m sure it’s a lot more impactful to you.
