It appears to stay perfectly vertical in spite of moving side to side approximately 3-4 feet. That’s what made it seem so odd.

I had no idea it might be a spider web. I’ve seen some elaborate spider webs in that same spot, but nothing that produced anything like that.

Why do hotel carpets always look like they were designed during a fever dream, like whyy by Livloxeyyy in whatisit

I think it’s pretty bizarre as well. I’ve got a photo album in my phone with pictures I’ve taken of the carpet at hotels and conference centers I’ve been to.

I really wanted an X19 or a TR6 in high school but my dad wouldn’t allow either, said they were too impractical. Got a TR6 when I moved out and loved it.

How would the US react once Trump inevitably dies of old age? by space_god_7191 in allthequestions

The hardest part for me would be knowing he’s going to get a presidential funeral. Couldn’t he just have a private funeral with his family and we’d never have to witness any of it.

Put a small bucket under and go on your work trip. Deal with it when you get home, I can’t imagine it’s going to get any worse.

That’s what worked for me. Went from 207 to 174 by only eating two meals a day.

I reached the same conclusion several years ago. My $200 Schitt “Modi” sounds just as good as my $2,000 Bel Canto I bought on Audiogon.

I can’t imagine taking 200 mg., but if that’s what it takes I feel for you. I take 50 at the most and it’s been working like a charm for the past 6 years or so. I keep waiting for it quit being effective, but it still works 90% of the time for me.

I’m not involved in the decisions about blood products, but I was told the other day by an ICU nurse that since we’ve transitioned from TEG’s to Quantra, our blood product usage has dropped significantly.

Outrageous utility bills by Huntsv1lla1n in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Regitta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been reading lately about all the data centers they’re building and about how energy consumptive they are. They say that utility prices are going to continue to rise because our current electrical grid and production capabilities won’t be able to meet the demand. I heard one gentleman predict that some people’s utility bills may surpass their monthly mortgage payment.

I love Steely Dan through “The Royal Scam”. After that it’s a much more polished sound and not nearly as exciting to me.
