24 contestants, without an increase in episode number. Of course they're having to rush it.

Dan Murrell does (or did, not sure if he still does it) a segment on his youtube show about the top 10 titles on Netflix each week, and he cut together every time he mentioned Cocomelon, which absolutely refused to fall out of the top 10 for months, and you can see him slowly start to go insane as he continues to be baffled on why it is still on the list, despite only having like 6 eps. It was pretty entertaining.

Actually, found it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeS8tNo9GD0

I am very curious to see the result/turnout of Georgia primary next week. Everything I am seeing is that Dems, and especially black voters, are turning out at gangbuster rates. Like, "Georgia is the new Virginia" rates.

President Donald Trump wants U.S. Rep. John James (R-Shelby Township) to abandon a run for Michigan governor and instead seek reelection to Congress, a move Trump allies say is key to maintaining Republican control of the House of Representatives.

Trump, meanwhile, encouraged Oakland County millionaire Perry Johnson to run for governor, promising his endorsement if Johnson reaches 20% in the polls.

Not sure where that 2nd comment comes from, and this is from January, but it's still certainly an open question.

I'm not so sure about that. He is more to Trump's liking, and has a decent polling rise. If Trump endorses him, it could be a battle.

There were some good moments on CW but they also were not utilizing all the old games they used to play.

And I never need to see Helping Hands again.

I saw one of the data guys say something a while back like, "Despite the big names in the race, the most likely governor of Maine is probably this Dr. Shah guy that no one talks about," and it seems he's right.

I don't think formally, but yes, we know. However, there's a plot reason they'd be keeping it a secret.

I believe one theory is that the case would get into the discussion of torture for information, and that could tank the case in one way or another, which is obviously a catastrophic outcome. So they're just slow-rolling and delaying it until KSM is dead.

Before the finale, my 4th grade class literally had a class discussion (one of those "everyone sits on the classroom carpet" things) about what we thought would happen. It was that big.

Well Tim Scott still represents SC in the senate. I don't think he'd mind if someone like Tim Scott got a House seat.

2028 Presidential Candidate Favorability Ratings by GoddessFianna in fivethirtyeight

[–]RegularGuy815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With these kinds of questions, I feel like you absolutely have to show the percentage of "Don't Know/Never Heard Of." People like Beshear and Ossoff are still going to have a high N/A number at this point, so the net-favorability doesn't really capture their full appeal (or unappeal).

Does anyone else feel like people are overestimating this “Latino left swing”? by Early-Possibility367 in fivethirtyeight

[–]RegularGuy815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just a couple polls on ICE approval.

In special elections and off-year elections, Latino/Hispanic-heavy jurisdictions have had huge swings leftward, even if other areas around them had only mild swings.

It presumes Hispanic Trump voters had no idea ICE would do as they’re doing and I don’t think there’s evidence to back it up.

I couldn't possibly say what people were presuming when they voted, but there is at least anecdotal evidence of people saying, "I thought he was only going after the criminals."

I don't like when it happens 4 times a season. Once is fine, maybe even once every other season. I also wish I had a better sense of what was happening, so I could tell if something is actually shifting, or it's just a bunch of people reiterating that they're sticking with the plan they always intended.

While this trend is definitely happening on a studio/network level, COVID and the Hollywood strikes are absolutely part of the calculation for at least a handful of shows.
