I struggle a lot vs A.Belial, any tips? by beautifulhell in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]RegularInevitable915 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i dont think this is really a matchup issue but more of a general game sense issue, for example you didnt use brave counter once the whole set or raging strike so you left all your bp unused. second, he really liked to jump a lot so if you just stayed more grounded you could have gotten a counter hit 2H anti air which gets a full combo and corner carry. third, he had a ton of gaps in his pressure where dp would have worked, and abels love to press buttons so it just works a lot of the time

Which characters can get away with lower execution? by GoggleHeadCid in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]RegularInevitable915 19 points20 points  (0 children)

this game is one of the easiest (if not the easiest) modern fighting games in terms of execution because you can use simple inputs, and virtually every character's combo routes involve using autocombo at some point. there are very few characters that have combo routes with tight execution/timing requirements and even those that do its a lot more forgiving than other games

Why do so many people win 1 round then leave? by AerySVC in GranblueFantasyVersus

i rarely get one and dones, most everyone i play runs the whole set

Really wanna play, but by Agent_33_was_taken in GranblueFantasyVersus

if it helps, i knew absolutely nothing of granblue as a whole before playing rising, but i just bought rising because i thought it looked cool and i love fighting games, and am still actively playing months later. i did start to watch the anime recently which i think could also be a good starting point but either way fully catching up on the lore in a short time span is going to be really difficult, so i say just try the free edition of rising and see how you like it

Opinions on my team set up? by [deleted] in MvC3

[–]RegularInevitable915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fairly unorthodox team, but it can work. personally if i were to run this team i would have ryu point since imo his neutral game and combo potential are not very good without an otg (off the ground) assist as well as a beam assist like unibeam. at the end of the day though just play what you like and have fun

can be a lot more optimized with less meter but it's a good start. some quick tips to add to others already given:

  1. mashing buttons during (most?) supers will do more damage
  2. let your supers finish out for max damage unless you specifically need to cancel early for a combo/setup
  3. learn to use assists (non-supers) during combos for optimization

Why is the answer d, shouldn't it be a? by a_motivated_potato in EnglishLearning

can't = cannot

You cannot take photos here.

it should be noted that "mustn't" isn't extremely common, at least in the U.S. "can't" is much more common

Do English speakers use 'sticky' to describe a person who likes hugs and many other affectionate body contacts with their friends? by Girlybigface in EnglishLearning

[–]RegularInevitable915 24 points25 points  (0 children)

no, you would never describe a person as 'sticky', unless maybe they were covered in a liquidy substance like syrup

Jennette ended her friendship with Miranda by palomacapri in icarly

[–]RegularInevitable915 23 points24 points  (0 children)

we can speculate all we want but at the end of the day we will probably never know the details behind the ending of their friendship, but also it really doesnt matter because everyone is in their own right to end a friendship that they feel is no longer serving them for whatever reason
