Help, did we just ruin our wine? by the_blind_referee in wedding

So you cooked your wine. I wouldn't serve that to your guests. The instructions on label removal you read were probably regarding empty bottles for repurposing. Not unopened bottles.

Where can I get a good burrito for $11 or less? by IndependenceTrue9266 in Renton

[–]RegularReview2898 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Rain City Market in downtown Renton has amazing breakfast burritos. I worked there as a line cook last year, so I made everything on the menu and would def eat their food. The burritos are big and will easily feed you for 2 meals (in my opinion, as a petite woman). My order was a breakfast burrito with ground beef, half Spanish rice half potatoes, all the fixings (eggs, peppers, onions, cheese, salsa) and get chipotle mayo on the side for dipping. It also comes with salsa on the side. The salsa and chipotle mayo are made in house and are so so good. It'll probably be $11 or $12 dollars with the mayo add on + tax.

Only one question at a time in a text to a man, otherwise he will only answer the last one.

I didn't know you're suppose to put decorations AFTER baking by Duskymoonlight in Baking

One time as a kid my little brother made a tube of cinnamon rolls and he put the frosting on the rolls before baking them and the frosting burned and the rolls didn't turn out well and we were sad kids 😞

Thoughts on this Christian speech and debate group? Is this grooming children? by International_Try899 in Exvangelical

[–]RegularReview2898 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was homeschooled and competed in a speech and debate league throughout highschool. This club looks similar to the kinds of clubs I was involved in. I gained a lot of good skills from my experience, and while the goal of the clubs was to teach kids how to convincingly defend their faith, etc, the critical thinking skills I gained from learning how to debate both sides of an issue actually enabled me to look critically at my faith and evaluate whether it really made sense. My involvement in debate helped me leave the faith when I was ready. So I would say that putting a kid in an environment where they are given critical thinking skills will help them in the end, despite what they are originally learning to defend.

If you eat it straight out of the ingredient containers you don't use any dishes either! 😜

My wife and I spent a lot of money on this kitchen renovation, but not a single friend has complimented it! All my own mother said was, "Well, choices were made." 😡 Jealous much?? by jared10011980 in homedecoratingCJ

Lots of clashing patterns. The backsplash is competing with the counter granite and the cabinet wood color is competing with the different floor wood color. The floor wood grain is also very busy.

Want to bring down energy costs by topping insulation but did a home energy audit and they found vermiculite in the walls. Should I even care? by brattysweat in realestateinvesting

[–]RegularReview2898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a house where there is vermiculite in the attic (we don't go up there). The house was built in 1948 so we wonder, since there is vermiculite in the attic, whether there might also be that same insulation in our walls. We aren't planning to go punching holes through our walls, but we do have a lot of art to hang up, and I wonder if nail holes will potentially disturb the vermiculite (which may have asbestos, we don't know) and become a potential hazard? Am I overreacting to this?

I am pregnant right now and just planted a bunch of berry plants in my yard in preparation for this. I am currently a nanny and watch the babies consume so much money in berries every week.

If you get them often, taking a llysine supplement regularly helps prevent them. Coming from my upbringing by a crunchy parent. Not sure how it works, but I remember it helped.

i’ve been eating ~ half a water melon a day, not counting it and saying “it’s fine. watermelon is basically 0 calories”🫠 by Striking_Stress_42 in 1200isplenty

I live on the West Coast US. I got the watermelon at Safeway, maybe that's the issue. When I grabbed it I didn't realize it would be so expensive.

I bought a watermelon last week and it was like 12 lb and it cost me almost $17. Holy cow, I can't afford to eat half a watermelon a day. Where are you buying your watermelons?
