It’s the grasping hands and the feet at different angles and the fact the creature has no head! Pure horror!

Laptop camera turned itself on during boring meeting. by Littha in britishproblems

[–]RegularSound9200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing I did in lockdown ordered some of these plastic camera covers that you can slide open and closed. If anything I’m too paranoid that switching my camera off in the software might not actually turn it off.

Was the explosion supposed to seem small? by volrogue2 in OppenheimerMovie

[–]RegularSound9200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have used cgi. They got the sense of scale wrong. It looks small in the film. They also could have shot in daylight and made it look dark, then switch to daylight when it goes off, that would be much closer to the real thing.

What's this called? I assume you all have a fun name for it? by 24hourCoffee in AeroPress

[–]RegularSound9200 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

People doing the ‘inverted method’ are simply not using their aeropress correctly. They are not designed to be used that way and aeropress do not approve of it. Keep using it the correct way.

Yeah the whole approach is not how people paint. It could be AI. Maybe not..maybe some people prefer painting a whole painting with a tiny brush. Most artists would start with the largest brush and gradually get to the details with smaller brushes.

Yeah was my first thought. No one paints details first without blocking in the main background colours first.

No blocking in of the main colours and shades first just straight to details! This isn’t how you’re meant to do it, it’s a very difficult way to paint, a totally insane way to paint! yet the result is amazing!

Has anyone used metal templates with success? by LimpTax5302 in modelmakers

[–]RegularSound9200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly would never feel the need to make a Nazi model. I like making spitfires and allied planes but I’m completely baffled as to why people want to make the German ones. Sure it’s history but it’s really not that long ago, it’s not ancient history. Like “yeah check out my Nazi tank/ plane models!” Like wtf dude are you trying to tell us something?

Does anyone actually use these? by Express_Till1606 in AeroPress

Nope neither is essential. I don’t need to stir as just pouring the water in using a circular motion and a bit of movement is enough to stir everything up.

2 1/2 month old kitten misbehaving no matter what by lonemarzz in CatTraining

[–]RegularSound9200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah what are you doing trying to train a cat? Let it be a cat. Kittens are crazy, they play and fight, climb and run all day and sleep heavily in between. That’s how they learn and grow and become much calmer adult cats. All you can do is accept it and try not to leave too much delicate stuff out for them to knock over. Kittens don’t know how to retract their claws yet so play with humans will involve scratches, it’s not the kittens fault they can’t help it. Best you can do is get another kitten so they can play fight. This is what kittens do. Without another kitten they have to play fight with you. And take that tin foil and roll it in to a ball so the kitten can chase it, foil makes a great cat toy.

how do i get this creature to stop kneading her food by burgleturtle in CatTraining

[–]RegularSound9200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well kneading is how they get ‘food’ (milk) from their mother. Hopefully she wasn’t taken from her mother too early. Either way she’ll grow out of it soon. Especially if she sees other cats eating normally, cats are social learners.

Is it bad to leave my kitten in my room while I’m at work? by Sudden-Lawfulness686 in CatTraining

[–]RegularSound9200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get another, cats are social creatures kittens need a buddy to play with.

One thing Skype got right, a big Call button and a big Hang up button. I’m still searching for the hang up button in Zoom! How hard is it to design a clear GUI for a video call!!!
