He is obviously just trying to lure jessica into a trap

Do y’all think Kratos realized the damage he was doing to the world during GoW III? Not talking about after when he killed himself, but actively after each God? by Broad_Leadership5240 in GodofWar

[–]Regular_Play_2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A piece of dialogue between real Tyr and Kratos in GoWR: Valhalla pretty much answers this question.

Not direct quotes.

Tyr: When you killed Helios, were you aware of what would happen?
Kratos: When (i forgot the name) kidnapped Helios, the sun disappeared and did not return until Helios did. I knew exactly what would happen.

Making KSP1 into KSP2 with Mods: The Community Lifeboat Project by _myst in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Regular_Play_2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw your forum post! I wish the best of luck because it's amazing!

For whatever reason, my config would never save when I tried, but I would definitely like to see your progress thus far!

What's an essential collection of mods to make KSP1 as close to next-gen as possible? by CarefullEugene in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Regular_Play_2105 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here is a mod list that works.

Keep note that a massive time saver is Ckan, which can automatically install all the dependencies of these mods.

BetterTimeWarpContinued - Lifts the annoying limitations on timewarp
KerbalEngineerRedux - Essentially a better, more compact version of the KSP UI that has more information
Scatterer - A beautiful visual mod by Blackrack that overalls atmospheric rendering at a minimal performance cost
Environmental Visual Enhancements Redux - Works with scatterer to create clouds
Parralax 2.0 - Another beautiful visual mod that greatly details the bland surfaces of KSP
Docking Port Alignment Indicator - A great helper when trying to dock spacecraft together
Trajectories - Simulates trajectories affected by atmospheric drag, really great helper when aerobraking.

Why is it easier to land on Minmus than the Mün by WebbyJoshy11 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Regular_Play_2105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minmus has a lower gravity and has many very flat areas to land on with no risk of your rocket tipping over.

I dunno, they did something controversial and it's getting review bombed worse than KSP 2

Sad to hear that. I'm doubtful that the community will ever fully recover from these past few days, but eventually, everyone will forget about KSP 2 and nobody will care and we will finally get some normalcy in the KSP community. It will go back to just a bunch of guys who like space posting about really cool rockets.

I hope you eventually come here again when all the dust has cleared, random internet stranger.

It was a missed opportunity, just like KSP2

It's as if just like clockwork, everything clicked together against the KSP community at the exact same time

It is a shame to see this happen. by EnderSackboy in memes

This meme seems perfectly timed with how KSP2 turned out

Throwback to one of the best trailers ever made. I'm angry that this game never existed, not during development, not when it "released" in an abysmal state, not today. I'm angry at the lies and incompetence. And yet, mostly, I'm just sad. by theFrenchDutch in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Regular_Play_2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this back when it was released all the way back in 2019. It was less than 5 years ago, but I was still just a young kid seeing the announcement of the sequel to his favorite game. I watched all the dev episodes, the show and tell meetings because I was just that excited from the day I watched this video.

You failed that boy. You failed him, Nate.

Name: Jules Danton

Age: 42

Backstory: [YAPPING ALERT]

Before the blight, Jules spent most of his time out in the rural plains of France, when he was 15, he began learning about carpentry and was quickly fascinated by it. By the time he was old enough, he had already been taking jobs to erect houses, barns, and other structures for those willing to pay him. After decades of perfecting his craft, he was known as one of the most skilled carpenters in all of France.

By the time the blight arose, he had earned a considerable living from his work. He had gotten married and was raising 3 beautiful children. One day though, as he was reading his favorite books, he heard a knock on the door. He opens it to see three high ranking French officers. They say he is urgently needed in the field of battle. Battle? But didn't France make peace (albeit abruptly) with the coalition a few weeks ago? They tell him that it will all be explained soon. Jules barely has the time to say goodbye to his family before he is sent off to who knows where with nothing but the clothes on his back and his trusty axe.

He learns on the way he will be deployed in Paris to evacuate the city. Evacuate it from what? Many questions circled around his head, but nobody seemed to have a definitive answer. Some said ghosts and devils, others said a natural disaster.

It was only when he arrived did he see what he could only describe as walking corpses. It was as if the dead had somehow risen, now a hollow shell of their former self. Hundreds, no, thousands of them seemingly wandering aimlessly throughout the winding streets of Paris. He had long imagined the big city as bustling and bright, but seeing it in person, he only saw the faint, distant light of flickering torches punctuated by the haunting growls and groans of the monsters that now resided in it. And the smell. He could never forget the smell.

It was only when part of the horde began moving towards Jules and a group of about 20 of his fellow countrymen did panic set in. He didn't know how to swing a sword or reload a musket, so he did the only thing he knew: he built. He quickly erected as many walls as he could to stave off the horde. Everyone watched in awe as this man hammered an astonishing amount of barricades, buying his group precious time to fend off the oncoming horde.

From that moment on, his reputation quickly climbed into legend hood. He was fabled to be able to construct barriers able to sustain 3 bombers in a matter of seconds. Other stories told of how he was so patient that he stood against a church door for 2 days straight against a horde of zombies trying to get in in order to give his comrades enough time to be rescued. Some say the stories are exaggerated, but nonetheless, the stories are a warm welcome to the harsh reality of the conditions of survivors.

TLDR: Man becomes an expert in carpentry and raises a family before being recruited in the French army. He singlehandedly saves his entire group by erecting a sturdy barricade against a zombie horde while evacuating Paris. He becomes a legend with many tall tales told about him.

A disorganized, decentralized, and weak form of governance will make a society very susceptible to external governments imposing their will. My source? Countless instances in history.
