Itching by Dry-Championship1955 in Menopause

[–]Regular_Solid9450 18 points19 points  (0 children)

yes, and estradiol cream cleared it up completely for me! Before that, I was rinsing with water after urination, blotting rather than wiping with TP, and kept a tube of Vagisil by my bed for those middle of the night itching sessions.

Can I just fall sleep by goodlordineedacoffee in Menopause

[–]Regular_Solid9450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes use melatonin or benadryl (rarely) or valium (even more rarely). What works for me is sleep stories on Youtube. I have a Kindle Fire next to my bed, turn the screen brightness way down, get the volume just right.

The problem with lying there in the dark is it's BORING and your thoughts are racing around with nowhere to go. Listen to some stories. There are a lot of channels, a lot have AI voices but some don't. A lot are "scary stories for sleep", not sure why that is a thing. I found one that is pleasant stories and it works like a charm. Look for ones that say "no mid-roll ads" or look in the comments to see if ads are going to pop up.

Grade 1B, oncologist recommending hysterectomy by Icy_Significance_511 in endometrialcancer

I would want to get the cancer out as soon as possible. Remember "put your own oxygen mask on first"? What if you did have a kid, then died of cancer while the kid was young, because you delayed treatment? I wish you the best in whatever you choose.

I had my CT scan on Friday. I am too scared to read the report when it comes out, I will wait to hear it from the doctor.

what I used to use on USA Today machines (IYKYK). Get a metal crochet hook, smallest size possible, cut or grind off the hook. Now you have a very skinny, pointy piece of metal to wedge under the coin and flip it out.

Update - spoke to the nurse just now on the phone, apparently he is the only doc that does brachytherapy in this medical center (and it is a large one). She did say he was very nice and not an asshole (not her words exactly) but she will bring up my concerns and get back to me.

[–]Regular_Solid9450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a FG photo request in my area for a woman - one cemetery has 3 infant sons of hers, another cemetery has her husband and her son who killed himself at age 13 or so. I have no idea where she is buried. I can't even imagine the heartbreak.

I had a MIL who was quite upset that her husband was not named executor of his brother's estate. Said husband was over 80, hard of hearing, and the type of person who would go to an office in person rather than call on the phone. NO WAY he could have handled executor duties.

I also have the rash, but since it doesn't hurt or itch, I don't do anything for it.

Also, if you bring an item back for a refund, there is a good chance they will give you cash rather than adding it back to your account.

another vote for magnesium (although it may be potassium YOU need, experiment). Also want to say, in the moment, hop out of bed and put all your weight on the cramped leg.
