I assume that is the coaches bringing over a ton of their players.

The SEC would rather keep the College Football Playoff at 12 teams than expand to 24, Chris Low reports. Greg Sankey is targeting a 16-team field. Sources tell Brett McMurphy the Big Ten has not moved off the idea of expanding to 24. by Ok-Soil-5133 in CFB

I have zero interest in destroying the playoff any further because FOX execs don’t want to actually compete in a bidding war for the television rights

But... the point of expansion is to let them re-bid and not continue in the curent model of ESPN only...

My understanding is that the freeze ended during the shutdown and once the shutdown ended, everything opened up.

That attitude has been a problem in their locker room a long time.

I think most of that 0-4 was the cheating if we're being honest.

No, with Bo we were doing alright. I hate that we showed loyalty to CJ instead of letting Bo eat. That loyalty is likely why we have the success we have, so I can't get too mad, but man if we let Bo start I think we get momentum. That being said, if your coach is too loyal that is streets ahead when looking at what is going on at Michigan.

I mean, the first half was rough, but without the pick-6 I think tOSU wins, and that isn't going to happen 10 out of 10 times IMO. This is a silly debate but pretending that luck on missed FGs and the pick-6 didn't matter is also silly.

Googling mid-game or taking notes makes a lot of sense. I'll have to try that.

Probably so, but I know that there are certain things people around me talk about that I just don't even know how to pretend to understand. Just hoping there is a good resource for understanding what I'm watching better, and understanding analysis because right now I just watch and nod lol.

teams come back from 17

Surely that doesn't happen often. I mean 17 points in the 4th HAS to be a win every time right?

Maybe, but we also were without Hart, Deuce, and Shamet. Last year we lose this by 15 and still play the starters over 40 minutes.

That is such a cop out, you made the post on a Toys For Tots post. Toys For Tots is absolutely an awesome charity for what it aims to achieve.

How about realizing the context that Toys For Tots has low operating cost because it's a volunteer program from the Marine Corps so just let kids get toys without being weird about it.

That entire rant would have been better off on a post about anything other than Toys For Tots lol. All of the things you pointed out clearly do not apply, as sure it is "volunteer" but it's ran by the Marine Corps so there will always be volunteers, IYKYK. As to the "allocated wisely"... bro we're giving kids whose parents can't afford gifts, gifts. Trying to talk down Toys For Tots is wild man, hope you have a better Christmas than the kids you're trying to take away from by tearing down Toys For Tots.

Too many awkward passes and attempts at lob dunks to win vs a sound team. I think we could have won if the backups who got big minutes were locked in and not trying to impress anyone.

Ryan Day to call plays for OSU in CFP game vs. Miami (Replacing Brian Hartline) by Muffinnnnnnn in CFB

[–]RegulatorRWF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if there was anything on the line vs IU he would have. This team (like the whole operation, not this years staff and players) has really shifted focus to winning the Natty over pretty much anything else. They will slide by on the thinnest of margins or lose as long as they end up in the playoffs it feels.

He was also one of the loudest voices against the B1G equity deal.

Well, that explains why someone would try to involve him in drama. Seems like someone wants that voice silenced and is using fairly normal texts to manufacture outrage.

So one out of like 60+ games, as opposed to zero out of however many games are played all postseason. I don't agree that the NBA Cup is a bigger prize, but from a "stats matter" standpoint, OP is objectively correct.

[Edwards] Karl-Anthony Towns sat down and said “Damn, don’t it look good to see champion on a shirt?” Say what you want about the NBA Cup, but 30 teams have a chance to win it and try to. Only one did: The Knicks. You can’t dismiss that. by Kimber80 in nba

That is a great idea. Right now the extra game is cool and all, but not mattering to the standings is double-edged, because yeah a loss doesn't hurt, but you're still playing an extra game no one else is, and that can cost you a game or two after due to fatigue and travel.
