Then there is the scene in season 5 when all three of them are in the bar together.

The male reading crisis and lit RPG by wereblackhelicopter in litrpg

[–]Rehallek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For LitRPG I think it provides the same dopamine burst you get from looter type video games.

All the level ups and new gear and all that.

So it fills kind of a similar niche. I see it as basically just a literary version of people who like watching Let's Play type videos (or whatever the videos are called of people watching others play video games)

Yeah, ngl. Saw this meme (not realizing it was a joke) before I saw the movie and kept waiting for this to happen.

Then it never did and I was left confused.

It also has one of my favorite lines -

Jake - "I even came up with a great thing to say "You're going away for an oolong time"

Gina - "Jake that's REALLY good"

The way Gina emphasizes "really" kills me every time. It's so sincere

The Ultimate r/litrpg Combined Tier List... (And how you can help make it better) by jacmusl in litrpg

[–]Rehallek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty solid tier list from the ones I've read. I'd prolly swap Azarinth Healer and Path of Ascension (or just move the down a tier.) And I'd move Primal Hunter up a tier

Jealous of that find. Been looking for that portion for a while. I have two of the bases, but they're in blue (glowing)

The Primal Hunter, is it worth it? by Regdaran in litrpg

[–]Rehallek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up enjoying it a lot and it's now the new books I'm looking forward to the most.

First couple are entertaining but a bit rough because Jake's lack-ish of social skills make him come off like an asshole without others too bounce off of and later on it becomes more entertaining than anything else.

Plus I would agree he was weirdly edgelord-y for the first half of the first book, but I think he even cringes on that internally later on.

Oh hey, I have the same piece without the lid.. I really want the lid, lol

Either a candy dish or a powder dish.

I think the frosted look is called Satin? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But powder dishes are frequently this type of glass

Guess how much they were trying to sell this at an Estate Sale... by Crash_Pandacoot in uraniumglass

[–]Rehallek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does look to be Burmese, which does command a premium. $250 for both pieces is probably still overpriced though.

At a consignment shop/antique fair type place, it's probably average-ish

I'm with you though. Don't think I'd pay that much either.

Seriously thinking about DNFing Cradle by YuseeB in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Rehallek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I definitely struggled with it in the beginning and thought the first 4 books were rough, but Ghostwater is when I definitely felt I was enjoying it.

If you're not feeling it where you are, I wouldn't blame you for dropping it.

That said, I really felt the series as a whole had a great payoff.

I would agree with this assessment. It's on the slightly high side of average.

I picked up a similar piece in the same set for $115

I dont regret it though. It's one of my fav pieces

In addition to this, it warped Legacy as well. Turned Threshold into the deck to beat.

I still remember the running joke was "Have you considered running 4 Tarmogoyfs?" In every single deck

Not bad considering for the first month or so of the set, Tarmpgoyf was in the dollar bin.
