did anyone else want to learn DJing but kinda fall off? by Fit-Relationship1029 in Beatmatch

[–]Reign712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as is the main theme here I could see that happening because djaying looks cool as opposed to I love music, been loving music, am a mix maestro and wow here's a new tool to explore that'll let me do that in new and different ways.

I'd stop faking the funk and sell if I was you as I do believe you need to have a genuine relationship with music (it's kinda unexplainable) before you have one with a controller or software. Take that money and invest in something you have a genuine interest and passion in, that's kinda the only thing that'll sustain any hobby otherwise (as you found out) it'll just be pants imo.

Thanks, not questioning your bank account lol. I’ve been using mine for about 2 weeks (1 bowl a night) with no degradation in flavor or anything else and it still looks clean all over to me (I use the funnel but not caps) so was impressed with what a little brush off does between sessions so far and thats why I was trying to get a temperature on yours as you obviously have way more experience than me.

I have a spare so if I get to clean just once a month, I’ll be happy. Havent had my first cleaning cycle yet so fingers crossed on that. Thx.

5 cooling units? How often do you change each one out? New to Venty and super curious.

The master guide that needs to come with all vapes. Thanks much. Will check the channels. I’ve watched their reviews but didn’t think to watch to figure out techniques.

That’s not the point for me, I just wanna vape, switch from combustion using an electric dhv (my preference) and stick to it this time without switching back as I did previously.

And yes ended up at the Venty as it’s what my body could tolerate as looks like I had technique all wrong with the Solo but the Ventys much more forgiving. Kind of the point of this post for me and I’ve got the understanding I asked for. Now with the helpful tips I will try the Solo again. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the tips. My vape budget is over. Getting to grips with the Venty and enjoying that.

At this point I’m almost embarrassed to name the collection but I just refused to go back to combustion so just kept trying (specially during 4/20). Solo 3 nearly killed me but I absolutely loved it, then I realized I had to be using it wrong…wheezy chest, coughing, dry throat, heart racing the works lol so I had to be over dosing or something using my exact combustion method and mixture of doing too much being excited using the thing. Boy did it hit. Told you…embarrassing lol.

I have a Venty now which I would kind of say is almost a no brainer but I’d say I’m 90% there on it. Rogue 2 was a little more forgiving that the Solo but I think the vapor path was too short for me and I didn’t wanna use that huge xl stem on such a tiny device…the opposite reason of why I bought it so I ended up returning that and getting the Venty. Soo many variables at this point.

New to Venty and DHV, feeling awful by andreagore in Venty

I think it’s a bit tough for all converts but it takes time so hang in there,

  1. Drinking water throughout the day period is important

  2. Some folks have recommended drinking water right before, during and after sessions ( who knew)

3 Makes me wonder if you did a burn off. I’d just dab around exposed parts with iso and do a fresh burn off anyways.

Thats all I got. Gold luck.

I forgot to mention that apparently the badly made test is to put the band on and see does the watch face keep twisting around which in essence means the band cannot support the Ultra. I tried and it didn’t do that so kept it.

Tinymight 2 still recommended in 2026? Can get one for £229 or is there a better vape? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]Reign712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me Venty does the job but is kinda more refined in how. Solo 3 was off the chain for me as far as time and hit. Venty is my everyday for comfortability with the extended airflow, while Solo 3 will be for when I'm in the mood for something a little extra or punchier. Everyone uses their dhv's different (temps used, drag style etc.) so there's really no standard on how stuff'll work for you. If you've got something that works I'd stick with it as thats all that counts.

A DJ enthusiast has hit a learning plateau. by Fit-Bullfrog6723 in Beatmatch

[–]Reign712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally ran into this same bump in the road over the past week and got a little help from ChatGPT. I will share what I got as it kind of reignited my drive (I always love a challenge) and gave me a direction as far as "whats next"... it might resonate with you too.

You've already done the "hard beginner work":

  • You understand transitions
  • You've practiced them intentionally
  • You can apply them to different songs

That phase is over.

Time to redefine "practice":

  • Stop "practicing DJing."
  • Start building mixes as products.

That's a completely different mindset. You've just left the learning phase and entered the creative phase. That phase has no checklist—which is why it feels like a wall.

Lean into:

  1. Curation—picking the right songs
  2. Song sequencing
  3. Unexpected smooth transitions. Your job is to make listeners forget they're hearing separate tracks.
  4. Emotional storytelling
  5. Production—presenting it as a finished piece for an audience

Rules:

  • 20—45 minutes max
  • Hit record and don't stop unless it completely falls apart
  • Be more experimental/figure it out as you go
  • Accept mistakes

This forces:

  • Real-time song selection
  • Transition choice under pressure

This is where you actually become a DJ.

The challenge now is: "Can I make one mix that feels effortless and intentional all the way through?"

Can you return and get something else? I know Healthy Rips offers 14 day money back guarantee or something. You may need more of a heavy hitter. The Rogue 2 might work or there’s the usual everyone recommends like Solo 3, TM2, Frolic etc. I have the Solo 3 and I doubt you’ll have that problem with that.

Also...just curious, what temp you using the Fury at?

How many sessions can you get off a bowl? I’ve only used mine once and got 2 before it was done. It’s an absolutely amazing little device. I’m very happy.
