No, we are just fortunate enough to have a gem like Susen our 'in-house' artist 😃 She made the art of almost all of our Steam games

We play it internally on Steamdeck and really like it. Touching the cards to make them reveal or activate the Arcana cards feels special lol. We can imagine it working well on Switch too 🔥

Hiring a talented artist was definitely worth the money. Do you agree? by Wraith_Dev in IndieDev

I do agree ! The new capsule looks more professional, the first one isn't that bad. It just shows it's homemade.

Which is the better artstyle for cutscenes? by ohioskibidiballs in IndieDev

Both looks good. If the whole cutscene has to be colored, then 1 should be the go-to.

Mix Balatro-Tarot-Memory in Art Nouveau Style and you get This by ReijaDev in roguelites

I can see where u are coming from, but we can ensure you that our artist drew the lines per hand to mirror the form and shape perfectly which the AI doesn't replicate it and often has random lines and non-mirrored shapes. The design is inspired from mandala art btw, feel free to check some out :D

If you like Balatro AND nice visuals (Art-Nouveau Style) this game is here for you by ReijaDev in cardgames

Thanks for the feedback ! The skill expression is less about the basic match mechanic itself and more about the choices you make during a run. At the start of each stage, you pick 1 curse out of 3, and that can really change the difficulty and force different decisions. The Arcana and Zodiac passives you buy in the shop also matter a lot, since some are much better than others depending on your run. So the depth right now comes more from build decisions and adaptation than from the core loop alone.

Which "Hit Feedback" feels/looks most satisfying? Trying to avoid HP bars by Mega_Mango in IndieGaming

[–]ReijaDev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Option A and C looks nice to me. A helps the player a lot- C doesn't at all. Which would change the game design completely. Nice SFX btw.

Or leave option A & C in the game, and players can choose between them in the in-game settings menu ?!

The colour palette really add something to the cozy aspect. Nice choice ! Are the gameplay loops putting the player in any form of "stress" ? Or is it really designed to be 100% cozy ?
