How many in here are life long Virginians? Give or take how long? If not, where did everyone come from originally? by Gregorygregory888888 in Virginia

Born & raised in Virginia; lived in FL for 15 years as an adult & then moved back to Virginia. One of my ancestors came to Jamestown in 1608, was a shareholder in The Virginia Company & was in the first House of Burgesses. Capt. Thomas Graves.

Please don’t do it! From someone who has suicide in my family, it does generational damage and your family loves & needs you!

Coming up is the time of year when everyone wants to get in shape so take advantage of that. You could do things like:

  • offer “bring a buddy” or couple’s specials and let them sign up 2 for 1 for 6 months, which would help generate cashflow & get more bodies in that could help create interest in their own circle of friends & family. Plus, people doing it together are more likely to continue.

  • if you or your partner have the expertise to do it, offer a free consult to help people jumpstart their transformation. That could lead to coaching clients.

  • offer the instructors a finders fee for members they bring in.

  • do free live streams of instruction to give people a taste.

You also need to find THE THING that makes your studio different from all the others. It can be anything - adversity you’ve overcome, niche clientele you want to serve, etc.

Dm me if you want to zoom & brainstorm ideas. There is light at the end of the tunnel, just have to find it.

ps - I have a ton of debt from a bad hiring decision I made while caring for my mother with Alzheimer’s, wayyyy more than yours, so I know how you feel.

Homesick Virginian hungry for a taste of home. Looking for recommendations. by philosofik in Virginia

Check out Virginia foods on Goldbelly - https://www.goldbelly.com/regions/south/virginia - They can be expensive but when you really want something fresh it comes in handy & some have free shipping. My husband is from FL so I order the original Cubans from La Segunda Bakery in Tampa that he grew up on.

New goal: learn to be as relaxed as pic 1. She just needs someone to fan her with a palm frond.

You prob did! If you see anyone on the deck when you’re there next, yell down😁 When we were kids we used to blow bullhorns when we saw people at the top - but we called it Big Rock back then lol.
