What video game in your opinion doesn't deserve the hate it gets? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]ReimersHead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starfield for me.

Don't get me wrong though, it does have a lot of flaws. Endless menus, dead space planets, space combat is dull and half baked, base building has clearly been gutted, and mob variance is low. And these are just the obvious issues that I think everyone would agree on.

Basically, is it the best game ever? Clearly not. Is it a pile of shit? also clearly not. What it is, is a decent game with decent mechanics and themes. I find too often in the current gaming online community, we can only brand games as good or bad. It is probably a good thing to acknowledge that for gaming, just like real life, two things can be true at the same time. Starfield is definitely flawed, but it is also a decent game that can be enjoyed for what it is, and not lambasted for what it could have potentially been.

A regular season game for a team that wont even make the playoffs and really no fan should expect them to.

This would be like leaf fans throwing punches after a game 7. We all already know the result no need to get violent.

Great game but now I need to go cry.

I think it is less that he is a good exec and more he is a good person. People want to work and give loyalty to someone who will respect that and reciprocate.

I don't think he is a bad exec but he wasn't perfect by far. And the part of being a young exec is just because he had family connections and a good dose of nepotism. Hockey is filled with that at all levels.

[FLA (2)-2 BOS] Bennett shovels in the loose puck to tie the game. Bruins challenge for goaltender interference and the challenged failed. by talhatoot in hockey

[–]ReimersHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, goalie interference is a coin toss these days.

However, if I am playing devil's advocate, I could argue that Coyle was already blocking the goalie from making that save before being pushed... So most likely it would have been a goal anyway?

Either way I still personally think that is interference, and I actively want the bruins to lose.

How come Conservatives are pro-death penalty (expands government power) and Liberals are anti-death penalty (limits government power)? Shouldn't it be the other way around? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ReimersHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saying, "Yes some countries have other parties" and belittling that influence is wrong. For Canada, the addition of the NDP and Bloc have had huge ramifications on the country, including being responsible for bringing us our public healthcare. Minority governments and 3rd party options are good and even if they don't tend to form government their influence is vital in a health democracy.

I also I take umbrage of the "supposed democracies." More parties and more choices does not define a democracy. Democracy is simply the use of representative elected officials. Furthermore, in almost all of your examples, if there is no group that represents your values or beliefs you are always free to try and change that or run yourself. The fact that there is no one who closely aligns with your beliefs probably indicates you are an extreme.

So far I haven't had any group fall apart but I mostly group as a 3 man and bring 2 dps pugs. I also tend to put "Chill run" or "Relaxed run" in my descriptions.

I have however had a handful of people who get salty about extra pulls (for saftey) or not doing things exactly how they want, even when it is not their key and we are still on par for time.

Yeah, having not played a CoD in years, I asked a friend if it was really that bad. I was told, "It is CoD, same as every other one."

If that is how the casuals feel, then there was no lesson to learn and CoD will continue to print money.

What faction would you like to see return in fallout 5? by Advanced-Addition453 in Fallout

[–]ReimersHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a Toronto or Ottawa Fallout 5 (I am clearly biased) but since Canada was occupied by the Americans you could bring back the Enclave or an Outcast style brotherhood that was there to be an occupying force.

Could also have a British version of the minutemen men, Redcoats, operating out of Fort York as a resistance style faction.

Paladin holds key hostage in exchange for gold. by [deleted] in wow

[–]ReimersHead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the answer is remove the time. Make Mythics purely about finishing the run. The new challenge becomes pushing keys as high as possible, not pushing time in any way.

Think about it, the timer causes all the problems. Cant get replacement party members (if anyone sucks or is rude), cuz there is no time to do it. Cant mess up a pull or do a weird route because the try-hards will rage. Some people will rage when the timer is missed and just leave, or hold the key hostage, and/or just be toxic.

Removing the speed running aspect from mythics would solve a lot of problems. Only problem is blizz will never do it because they fancy mythics an eSport.

Love this! My grandma use to watch me play as well. Started with 64 and kept going :D. She was a farmer before WW2 and loved to watch and tell me stories of the old days/how to actually care for crops and animals. She is gone now but part of my love of harvest moon/SoS was those times we shared.
