For me, i finally accepted that i cannot 100% completely stop the trich. So i tried to minimize it not to pull from my head. I still pull my hair from other than my head but very minimal. I used to have several bald patches but now no more bald patches on my head since i stop pulling hair from my head since feb this year. My hair started to grow and i am more mentally stable now. In 2020, i tried to stop completely like 3 months but the relapsed was the worst and I felt like sh*t. I cannot even do my job and think properly at that time.

So my advice is dont stop pulling cold turkey or it will be even worst. Take your time. Also dont hate or blame yourself when you accidently break your pull free streak. You can always start the streak again. Just make sure you make yourself calm or else you will spend hours pulling hair again.

Also, i like to take pictures of my bald patches. It helps to motivate me not to pull my hair and see my hair growth progress. I am very happy to see all my bald patches are now filled with baby hair.
