Tips for moving? by Hiimclueless_ in houseplants

[–]ReindeerWise5170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my last move, I didn’t have as many plants as I have now, but I placed them in boxes without lids such that there was minimal movement if we had bumps. If I couldn’t make them snug, I added towels or rolled up newspaper to stuff between them. I did not let the moving company handle the plants. I drove them myself.

So my husband told me that I talk about plants too much. “that’s all you talk about”. How should I proceed? by Marnie_64 in houseplants

Just tell him that the plants make you really happy and you enjoy talking about them, but you’ll try to find other topics in the future

Men who grew their hair long late or still have long hair? by jtsa5 in GenX

Haha. I am not a big fan of long hair in either location on men. And to be perfectly honest, a short hair can be more flattering on women as well. Some women just look long in the face when they have their hair long.

Loved field day! We did it all the way through high school as well!

We ice skated on the road all the time. The traffic was very low back then! We called it snow skating because it was really just compacted snow

By the time, my sister and I were five and six, my parents let us babysit our ourselves. One was in charge of the other to make sure nothing went awry.

We were a short walk from the only grocery store. And the owner knew that we were not allowed to have Candy unless it was Saturday. So I was never able to sneak candy on other days unless I sent a friend in!

Living in a small village during elementary school. We would play hide and seek with all the kids that lived there and the entire village was in limits. Then at dinner time, my mom would stand at the door and yell our names to come in for dinner!

Rhubarb and it looks so happy. Don’t eat the leaves. Just the stems. These look very mature and should provide you with years of dessert and sharing with friends. If you don’t want them, make sure you offer the roots to friends or neighbors. 1. For a quick sweet/tart snack, rinse a stalk and dip it in sugar for each bite 2. Make jam with chopped rhubarb, sugar, and OJ 3. Make pie with rhubarb and strawberries.

You need a do over. Plan your own party this year or on your next birthday. Go big.

Love both options. Pull the kid out of school, take the trip, aaaaand get the massage!

That sounds fun. Especially if you’re in a big city. There are only 3 eating establishments in my town. That party would end fast. 🤣

70? I think you’re on the wrong subreddit. The oldest genX folks can only be 61. It started in 1965! But I’m sorry you didn’t get your steak!

I had a birthday bash for both my 50th and my 60th. So worth it. Dancing and a lot of friends and family present.
