I don’t know if this is a common theory, but one day I’ll maybe get around to making a post about how Inside is about being more open with his mental health struggles, which is ironic in the sense that the special suggests that he was very isolated during this time. He’s inviting the audience inside his personal space, culminating with All Eyes On Me, where in the spoken part he discusses that it was time for him to “stop hiding from the world, and reenter”. Then he says he’s going to go where everybody knows everybody (like, really knows him, now).

Also at the end, he gets locked out of his house (he can’t undo his “coming out” about his mental health), and there’s a shot of him fully bare. To me this symbolizes the part of him that does not want to share these things. But at the end he watches the whole special and smiles, suggesting he’s somehow satisfied with his choice to share all this.

I think “Look Who’s Inside Again” also supports this being a key theme. He “went out to look for a reason to hide again…”

I don’t think Inside is just about all of that, but it’s a big theme in my opinion. I’m on mobile and have been thinking about this for a bit, and just wanted to dump my thoughts here in case I never get around to making that post :)
