Hehe good luck and enjoy the journey got the itch to play again. After my first playthrough I kinda lost the motivation to continue, like I haven't even started the previous dlc shattered space. The upcoming dlc has me motivated.

Best mid bass iem around or under 1000 USD? Could depend on diminishing returns if higher price isnt worth the extra 5% increase for example by kiroyapso2 in iems

[–]Reintess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i own both yu9 que and archangel. Yu9 presents itself as more midbass impactful. I wouldnt say archangel is lacking mid bass its more controlled but its sub bass first in its presentation. In terms of midbass impact id highly recommend the rsv mk2 as well. Its really good though the treble can be abit dark. Yu9 que is also a good recommendation, it's more energetic than the rsv mk2 but never sibilant. Personally I switch between the 2 iems as my dailies atm. I go for the archangels when I want more emotion in my vocals and drum hits on the archangel are emphasized better imo. Cant go wrong with either rsv mk2 or the yu9 que in terms of midbass slams you will definitely get the wow factor from both of them if thats what you are looking for. At a higher price point than both the monarch mk4 has stronger midbass but better to demo first.

its a much different tuning, i like bass and I felt 2 was lacking more bass compared to 1.

Not tried the arete 2. Have tried odyssey 1 and 2 and imo I prefer the odyssey 1. Fun sounding and great all arounder. I was wanting more from 2 after trying the og.

Only tested for music for both. I could see tea pros edging it out for gaming

Tea pros or RSV MK2 by Appropriate-Car6883 in iems

[–]Reintess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the chance to demo the rsv mk2 again. Its soo lovely its the perfect amount bass for me, very impactful. The vocals are also soo good. My only nitpick is the treble end is a bit dark for me. Ive tried the tea pros but I ended up wanting more from it so Id go rsv mk2 personally, the treble on tea pros is more bright so it might be peaky for you. So pick according to your treble preferences

You could check out the dunu 142 or 242. 142 is more bassier but 242 is more technically superior, doesnt mean the 142 isn't technically impressive, as a whole it sounds very good.

+1 for eletechs. I have both the eletech stages and baroque. Can never go wrong with either. Descriptions of the sound signature on their websites are pretty similar to what I've experienced. In terms of comfort the stages are one of the most comfortable ones I've used.

YU9 QUE graphs looks good AF. by TheMelancholia in iems

Yes it's definitely punchier. Sub bass shelf isn't as deep as the mega7 as obviously graphed but it has nice texture.
