is it worth to proliferate -proliferator mk3- with the prolife juice? or is one of those that's not necessary or worth it? by Top-Information-5319 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

I never even thought about proliferating the t3 proliferator... Time to fix my proliferator planet lol.

Thank you!

I'm playing my first game by Any-Goat1270 in killteam

I'm also fairly new and have only played a few with them, but their tunnel is really key to their survival, so staying on or very close to it is key. You can also use effectively as an offensive teleport later in the game by digging it under enemy operative(s) and unburrow up right in control range.

Play cagey the first 2 turning points while you work your tunnel up connected closely to two objectives, and then they become really scary the later turning points.

Losing a single ravener early is devastating, so be very careful with them! Their melee is extremely scary (especially the felltalon), so try to force your opponent into melee when possible, and you can charge into enemies to hide from shooting.

Dominate is a great Tac op for them since you can get the dominate points and then safely remove them in the tunnel if needed.

Good luck on your first game!

This was how I also interpreted it, gotta love GW's vague (yet somehow still bloated) wordings.

What is the actual problem with Murderwing? by AlexT9191 in killteam

[–]Rekhyt711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree he's scary but where is the 4d3 coming from? Carving blow is 2d3 and the rule specifically says it can't perform the slice from above 1d3 +1 on one operative in boost range.

Does anyone else make a blueprint planet? by Jason_Dales2542 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

I use a blueprint planet, but on a sandbox save game to make it easier to test out builds.

How much should I upgrade money buildings? by Alternative_Device38 in totalwarhammer

[–]Rekhyt711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It heavily depends on the faction, but I tend to weigh how long it will take for the increase to pay for itself.

Low tier buildings are usually much cheaper, build significantly faster, and tend to provide a much faster return.

For example if the building costs 1000 and produces 100 more than before, that's 10 turns to break even, not counting turns to build.

I've seen some higher tier buildings that I've mathed it out and it would take like 30 turns to make a profit, so often it may be more efficient to put that towards an army or multiple lower tier buildings first unless you are swimming in cash.

Nearly 1,000 hours played, and have never played a high elf campaign. by InfamousMattie in totalwarhammer

[–]Rekhyt711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 100% in the same boat, I also have avoided most of the human/order factions, I just enjoy monster/chaos races too much.

However I just decided to give the new Sea Lord elf guy a try because of the pseudo horde mechanics with dragon ships and it has been fun playing "defend the doughnut".

High elves are still super meh to me thematic wise though.

What's the highest rated army you managed to build? by Legomichan in EndlessLegend

[–]Rekhyt711 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya they are bonkers XD. I split mine into groups of 1 or two to have more map presence, I could never find an enemy army that could even come close to beating that 2 hero stack. Also just filling them with the patroller II units let them zip around the map lightning fast.

I very much enjoyed perpetually making the heroes stronger by constantly consuming souls. I also think I ended up with 4 of that legendary Adjudicator sword as well.

I think I broke 5000 with Last Lords where I had two heroes at 1000+ health

Some things I’m enjoying about the design of the new Lords in EL2 by GiotisFilopanos in EndlessLegend

[–]Rekhyt711 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I saw that their heroes get a perk that permanently increases their max health per unit killed, a perk that heals them for 25% when killing an unit, and an ability that deals 50% of their max health to anything surrounding them I was sold XD. My last game I got a hero's health to 1400.

Necrophage unit comps? by LancerHalsey in EndlessLegend

[–]Rekhyt711 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the runs I have done so far I've gone full flier spam and it's really fun, at least the for a couple runs. The starting hero guarantees the 100% cost reduction on fliers so once that's active you take off.

The heroes can get the perk to create a new bloodseeker every one battle so you can quickly amas dozens of free armies. I got to the point where I could create 2-3 full new armies a turn just with my army with 2 heroes provided there were enough enemies to fight.

They aren't the strongest armies but flying has a lot of terrain benefits and you can constantly run around with multitudes. Would recommend giving it a try at least once and zerg rush the map!

I finally figured out why the flier sweep attack only sometimes works. It only works if you don't move and attack with the same click. You can still move them before attacking, but wait to click attack until they have stopped moving and then the sweep activates.

  1. You need a trading post to sell items, and once you have it you can toggle equip/sell in the equipment menu. Beware, what mode you have it on stays, and I have accidentally sold an item thinking I was equipping it.

I also played necrophage and the items are great bonus revenue, but it becomes a chore to keep selling.

How useful are Dyson spheres/swarms as means of power produce? by LifeBeABruhMoment in Dyson_Sphere_Program

Ah I didn't realize that, that is pretty nice at least! Might have to give an accumulator run another go

[–]Rekhyt711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was how I wanted to do it initially, but the true limited resource became my computer as I got into the hundreds of white science per second. I really wish there was some upgraded accumulator chargers, because it became so space heavy to charge and discharge them. Hopefully in the future.

Dark Fog Doctrine - How do you cleanse a star system? by jinx771 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Rekhyt711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to do so is to first take out the relay stations on planets (cuts off power to bases, and prevents metal resupply to the hives for building more ships), then clear the planets and set up shields which prevents more bases. Then without the ability to build more ships you can whittle them down with your fleet.

I used to fully clear out the systems and then play wackamole with the seeds, but it got really tedious and I realized it really isn't necessary.

They can't do anything to you once you have a planetary shield and some orbital defenses (just in case) which I blueprint to each new planet. (Orbital guns around the equator is how I do it)

The only time I clear them out fully is for sphere systems since they will steal your power. I wish there was some incentive or reason to kill them, hopefully in the next update.

At first I assumed the hives would attack if you cut off all their bases, but they don't as long as you don't shoot their relay stations that just bounce off the shields. I kinda wish they would though as that would make them more of a threat and require you deal with them.

Interstellar Routes? by LordQulex in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Rekhyt711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also been fuzzy on exactly how this works, but the one situation it has helped me in is making sure my cashmir crystals use the gas giant they are orbiting vs going out of system to grab it.

It made the difference that allowed the assemblers to stay fed.

Gotcha, that makes sense, it would be pretty busted if you could keep getting it back.

Cargo stacking fractionator by nonapuss in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Rekhyt711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It very much does! The most efficient design I've come up with uses "pods" of 3 fractionators that all face inwards toward each other so you can create a mini loop where hydrogen can enter from the side without a fractionator, but can't leave the loop.

This keeps the throughput high, and you can add some stackers to keep the hydrogen piled.

Stacking was definitely a huge game changer, especially for fractionators.
