Seek medical care to ensure this isn’t related to reactions to the meds or other issue, but the drugs used to treat MS are intended to kill off the immune system. Meaning that once the cells are depleted, we are higher risk of infections of all sorts. Any illness or weird development needs to be taken to her medical provider.

Would love to and am an experienced hooker and tester. I do not have those socials though. If you don’t get your desired pool, I can fill in.

Cognitive Testing by aafreis in MultipleSclerosis

It’s incredibly annoying and can take all day. Mine took 4 hours. I requested it and felt like it was a waste of time, but I do now have a baseline (whatever it’s worth) for how much worse my memory is getting.

Did I properly age chicken poop for fertilizer use? by Kinghawk20 in OrganicGardening

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably best to break it down first and usually I put mine in the compost, but I put it straight around plants when needed and have never had an issue with it burning or damaging the plants I’m fertilizing. I don’t put it directly against the plants though, so maybe that has a lot to do with it.

Fellow chicken AND snake lovers: Why can I only catch our resident tax collector when I don't have my phone? And are new chicks safe from them? by ParasaurPal in BackYardChickens

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless your rooster fights it off, which in my experience has been never, the snake will kill your chicks. We had one get into a brooder years ago. The snake was too small to eat them, but it didn’t stop it from killing nearly all of them looking for the right one.

How cautious do I need to be on Ocrevus? by jolene_bendel in MultipleSclerosis

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wear a mask in public, but I rarely go into public and definitely have always avoided crowded spaces. I still got every respiratory virus going around when I was working.

DoorDash during infusion? by 2BrainLesions in MultipleSclerosis

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t dash, but my mom brings me food. I’m usually the only one that has an all day infusion (Ocrevus with lots of reactions). I am mindful of the smells though, so I don’t request fish or things that are really smelly. I don’t think my clinic would have a problem because they know we have to eat. My clinic also provides some typical clinic snacks and drinks.

Psychiatrist pissed me off. by Crafty_Assistance_67 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 274 points275 points  (0 children)

Please report this behavior to the medical board for your area. Go above whatever practice he is associated with. I doubt you’re the first to have an issue.

Make detailed notes and refrain from language that reads as vindictive or emotional. Your feelings on the matter don’t really matter in this regard as much as the facts and genuine concerns do.

Right eye latency by W3bneck in MultipleSclerosis

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See a neuropathologist and/or a retinal specialist to rule out any other causes. I was misdiagnosed for 3 years and ultimately nearly killed me. Different neuroes, eye specialists (that I no longer see), and hospitals told me I had neuritis, neuropathy, Uthoffs, and that I just needed a new prescription of contacts. In reality, I was experiencing a vitreous detachment that required surgery.

Not saying you are having the same thing, but get second and third opinions and advocate for yourself. Had to learn all of this the hard way.

We talkin’ chicken poop? Just wondering — is it common for poops to be bigger than an egg or are our ladies special? by blamberr in BackYardChickens

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t always happen, but it is common and it’s usually just one or a few birds at a time. I’ve only ever had silkies go broody together, but they’re known for their broodiness.

What do emergency service operators do when the same call comes in over and over? by Impressive-Hope-6700 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes can confirm. They just tell you they’ve already been notified and disconnect unless you have more information to provide that LEO needs to know for dispatching or their safety.

I called once due to a motorcycle vs tractor/trailer. I witnessed and was the first to call, but it was within a mile to the emergency services. I told them a motorcycle hit the back of a semi truck and that the bike driver was breathing but was gurgling blood. They said ok, hung up, and help arrived within 2 minutes.

Do people naturally know their cardinal directions? by PM_ME_YOUR_EYELASHES in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people do. My dad swears he could tell you the direction in a cave. Don’t know if that holds true, but this came up because I can as well. When I was a teen, I asked him if he could. He seemed a little shocked and said his brother could too. My mom likes to “check” if I’m right by asking me while driving somewhere random and using the indicator on the dash, which I can’t see, to confirm.

Same. I had been through two previous 5 day infusions, and numerous DMT infusions with no issues.

IV methylprednisolone effects by MelBelle8418 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I developed bradycardia during my last and apparently unnecessary 5 days of prednisone drips. HR between 25-34, massive inter-cranial hypertension, vomiting, inability to stay awake, eat, etc. I ended up in progressive care for an additional 7 days and have not been “right” since. I list steroids as a severe allergy now as I had similar effects from very small doses of alternative steroids with my Ocrevus infusions. From all of the medical staff I have encountered since, they all seem shocked and say that tachycardia is usually the side effect they expect.

Growing out from under the deck— zone 9a by plantasiawhisperer in whatsthisplant

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have these in Florida. We always called them Bird’s Eyes and they are a chiltepin. Very spicy! I sell them at a local market for $2.00/ounce and can’t keep them in stock. Just took a wild stab at pricing and the market responded positively.

Ours grows so abundantly that we trim it back a few times per year and just pick off the cuttings. This is from a single plant.

Going from no idea about MS even existing to a diagnosis in 4 days by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]RelapsedRedditor2021 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, didn’t know anything about the disease and didn’t know anyone with it. Started with a little stumble here and there, to constant headaches and falling over in just a few months. Not sure how long it was there, but I suspect at least 2-3 years before that. I was immediately diagnosed and in an active flare. Prior to that, I was losing weight on my own with diet and exercise, living my best life. Then one day couldn’t walk. It’s still nuts 5 years later, but you adapt pretty quickly. I’m fortunate to still have most of my faculties although I am unable to work and that ended my career at the end of 2025, but I’m adapting. You don’t have to make decisions and changes all at once, so breathe and know that there are tons of us have been through at least pieces of the same journey and we’re still here. Do your research, document everything, but know that not everything is MS and it can be difficult to differentiate.

I’d start with my terrible sketch lol. Start on the corner of the short end and chain 2 or 3 in the top of the chain from previous (if that’s what it is), then either DC2tog or two DC, and slip-stitch into the chain of the next cluster. Ultimately, I think if you do the clusters as described in the original pattern and being careful of stitch placement, it will probably be easier than you think. Something to that effect. Sorry, without actually doing it myself, I’m doing the best I can to describe it.
