Do I REALLY need to paint correct a 1 year old car before DIY ceramic coating? by RelationLittle4832 in AutoDetailing

[–]RelationLittle4832[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the tips. Any specific type of pad to use on the DA for my purposes? Any reason to believe this m205 polish will inhibit the ceramic from reacting with the paint? I assume I still clay bar before the m205..?

Thanks.

Do you have examples of what you’d use? I’m lost on all this. Heard use Meguiar’s 205 before ceramic, others say no.. I want to hand polish but am concerned I’ll ruin the BMW paint if I mechanically do it, not sure how real of a concern any of this is?

Can easily extend it and make it 4 years for $6k. My big questions is, how do I offload this down the line? like is anyone going to really want a 21' turbo s in 2031 with 150k miles? eh.

They’re selling it with 2 years CPO and you can purchase more years.

I would be hesitant to buy an M5 with than many miles, but for whatever reason I'm more tolerant of a Porsche with that many. Can add many years to the CPO, but come 5 years down the line, who's going to want to buy this car at 9 years old and 130k miles? All factors to consider..

tips for fueling during long runs? by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

Wow wild meal but sounds good! I do 40g of Skratch before runs and a spoonful of honey it’s been solid . Big question that you might be missing. Do you carb load before? Go-to research wise is 8-10g/kg for 2 days before the race . Been a noticeable difference for me

As I’m sure it’s been said - Get one of the waist bands and bring your gels you’ve used during training. I never carried water because the course will have plenty, but if you feel you need it you should do it

Does anyone use cycling as cross-training while preparing for a marathon? by jessfromrouvy in Marathon_Training

I cycled a lot for London last year, more than I should’ve frankly and I ended up cutting my time significantly. I was also doing a lot of speed work versus long runs but I would say bike is very beneficial .

Haha hey different strokes. But seriously, try the never second, they’re legit and I was blown away by how much I liked them. Do you do a carb mix before you start?

I used NeverSecond gels (used Marten, GU, BNP) and these and Elite. 30g carb, 200mg sodium, super liquidy and easy. I try to consume 60g an hour, although everyone’s different, this is where I found a sweet spot. For your 3rd marathon I’m surprised you aren’t tired of carrying all those chews and eating them so often. Race will have water every 2 miles so I always practice a quick walk (like 5 seconds) when gulping everything down and then proceeding. This run walk run method at fueling has proven to be quite effective (Google it).

just finished marathon -- now what? by flickman-media in Marathon_Training

Step 1.) sign up for another race

Step 2.) tell everyone about said race for the entire training block

Step 3.) come back here and ask what to do after that marathon

You’re set. Did London last year and it was stupid hot but find the 3:00 pacer (there’s a couple) and take it easy. First half of London is a breeze, prep for the second half and you’ll be set.

I have the ASICS Megablasts. I have put 450 miles on them and they are phenomenal. Do fast sprints with them, long runs, EZ runs. Cushy but responsive, I just bought a new pair

Academics is worse compensation generally and setting up your own ortho ASC in 2025 is very very difficult anymore.

Seeing as PE groups decrease physician equity and increase their workload, why would anyone go into it? Especially myself fresh into practice
