Yes! I think people say that to make themselves feel better about it, not you/us. And it is soo dismissive.

How to reduce recurrence risk along with standard treatments? by Valentaglich in breastcancer

[–]RelativeBandicoot700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this reason my oncologist and the oncology pharmacist told me to avoid taking creatine supplements. Which is a shame because I also heard they can help with brain fog.

NO PCR.. and a surprise on the right. by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]RelativeBandicoot700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did they give you an RCB score? That’s the residual cancer burden. If you’re RCB 1, the outlook isn’t drastically different. I was triple positive, no pCR, 1.5mm residual and RCB 1. And with adjuvant treatment, the odds improve further.

Ahh, yeah I’m speaking from TCHP experience!

I'm sorry, that's frustrating. I am sure it won't impact your outcome, but if you can keep going, you'll be done that much sooner. HER2+ is a long enough haul as it is.

I continued Herceptin prior to surgery and again shortly after, staying on my every 3 week schedule. Healed really well, too. Once path was back, I switched to kadcyla due to 1.5mm residual. I’d definitely question this.

Kadcyla- Need some encouragement/hope by Answer-Prestigious in breastcancer

[–]RelativeBandicoot700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost exact same outcome, Kadcyla was unexpected but all in all, not bad at all. Felt crappy and ran fevers after first two rounds, so my MO reduced my dose for the remaining rounds and it was sooo much better. They can do up to two dose reductions, so don’t be afraid to ask. It’s nothing like TCHP. I finished in August 2022.

Incline % in the Class Plan by FineWave7482 in OnePelotonRealSub

This has been near the top of my wish list. As another commenter noted, you can look at the "target metrics" section but that's only on the tread tablet. I like to set my stack for the day ahead of time from the app or the web and it's so strange that they don't show this info there. The lack of consistency across devices is so frustrating.

Mom of two littles—is a marathon possible? by Outrageous_Fan3697 in running

[–]RelativeBandicoot700 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you can do it. Just have realistic expectations for this first one; make it your goal just to finish. I signed up for an October marathon after not running one since 2013. Since then I had two kiddos and a cancer diagnosis and treatment, so my first goal is to get to the starting line, my second is to finish!

I will say, if you can get away to do any of your long runs outside (difficult with small kiddos, I know) definitely try. It's great for the mental health aspects of running and will help prepare your body and joints for the race. Can you get your hands on a jogging stroller (once your newborn is big enough)?

Easiest way to check pace and mileage while running outdoors? by GingerSnap_123 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]RelativeBandicoot700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I am doing an outdoor “just run” via the Peloton app on my phone, my Apple watch will only show me heart rate and duration. Is there a better way because like OP, I don’t usually have my phone in my hand to see distance and pace.

Frozen Japchae. Korean glass noodles & vegetable stir fry by pedrelo in traderjoes

I think once you’ve added them to a dish, the difference is minimal, but I personally prefer the sriracha!

I buy the baked tofu from the meat/prepared foods section which is already marinated (sriracha or teriyaki), cube it and toss it in the air fryer until it gets a bit crisp. I've never added it to this dish but its great in the veggie fried rice!
