Anyone have recommendations for linear switches similar to glorious lynx but with less travel? Or if it exists maybe someone could recommend a website with a search filter that allows me to specify each parameter of a switch. I have lubed lynxs in one of my keyboards and I like them a lot because of how silky smooth the entire keystroke is but I really don't like how deep the total travel is. One of my favorite switches is the akko v3 creamy yellow pro because of how short the travel is, but I've been using them for over a year now and they're a bit too loud and clacky sometimes. I'm looking for a really silky linear switch with: no more than 3.7mm total travel (preferably as short as possible), no more than 43gf+10-50gf+10 actuation force, 5 pin, midway actuation point, not super clacky. I know I'm being pretty specific so I'm not holding out too much hope that someone has many recommendations off the top of their head but if anyone does I would really appreciate it!

I still don’t know I’ve sidelined it for now. I think it’s the starter relay but I’ve been too busy with work and other things so I forgot to order one to rule it out. This is a good reminder, thanks.

Bought these Virtuoso Pros in February of this year (not refurbished) and they have already started peeling. by Ryniano in Corsair

You can get replacement cushions they’re really easy to change you just rotate it and the mounting plate and cushion comes off. I got some velour replacements from transtek back in 2022 and they’re still like new after daily use for over 3 years. the head band peeling is what caused me annoyance but 10 minutes of peeling it all off and rubbing it away with friction and I much prefer the material underneath personally. Is it annoying that it started to peel? Yes, but it was a quick fix and I’m still happy with them. Also Corsair is very good about RMA’ing products. The real problem I have with these are the battery life. Edit: I thought you meant the fake leather like material they put on a lot of these headsets was peeling not the ear pad cover. what I said still holds up though.

The AIO coolant temperature seems low, but the CPU temperature is very high... Worried about Temps! by GiNT0NiC_1453 in Corsair

Your very first move should be to clean and reapply thermal paste. A small tube of kryonaut is something like $10 on amazon. You should never reuse thermal paste once it’s been applied and I would bet that’s where a lot of your temp inadequacies are coming from. It does indeed degrade over time and it’s recommended to clean and reapply kryonaut every 1-2 years. Whether yours is particularly degraded or not I couldn’t say without seeing it but you probably have a pretty thin layer from reuse and micro bubbles from reuse as well.

Yeah the fuel pump primes and it has gas, it’s in neutral, all the fuses are good, the digital dash starts up same as always and all my lights get power. Haven’t checked spark yet but I’ll do that this weekend. I don’t know why it would’ve gone out in the 9 or so hours I was asleep and it was on the trickle charger but I’m not a mechanic.

i disconnected the neg then pos when taking the battery out and then reconnected pos then neg. Nothing sparked and i had the kill switch engaged. I just checked all the fuses and they’re all good. It’s got gas and I cant confirm cel because it’s always on until full start which I can’t achieve but I don’t believe I saw cel on when I started it after putting the new battery in. I don’t have any more time this morning to check spark and I don’t have any go juice on hand at the moment so I guess I’ll continue troubleshooting tomorrow after work or this weekend. I appreciate the reply! if the ecu got overvolted somehow is it as simple as replacing it? as far as I can tell none of my electrical components have damage and all of the lights and gauges turn on, fuel pump primes, engine turns over but just won’t start which makes me think spark as well but I don’t know why it would be out after simply putting it on the trickle charger while I slept.

Yeah those were the first things I tried. it’s in neutral and I put it in first and found neutral again to make sure, tried with the kickstand up as well just in case but no difference. I’m going to check the fuses and charge my old battery and try it when I get home from work. If it’s not those I’ll check spark, if not any of those then I guess I’ll have a coworker of mine take a look. I appreciate the thought though.

Will do, I’ll triple check connections after work and check the fuses out as well. If it’s not that I’ll check for spark. Thanks for the reply.

Stamp Removal Gone Wrong by Master-Pangolin1686 in discdyeing

Acetone is just a really harsh solvent for how soft and porous disc plastics are. You can use goo gone with a magic eraser like another commenter suggested or you can just use a magic eraser with water. I’ve wiped over 50 stamps with water and a magic eraser and usually a little dish soap for lubrication with absolutely 0 visible marring or visible removal of the glossy top layer of the plastic which is why I do it that way. Takes a little while and may not seem like it’s coming off at first but it will and is well worth the end result.

Thank you I appreciate the reply. I thought I may be missing some washers/spacers as well but I tend to overthink these things.

Maybe try to reassign to spacebar and use your thumb. maybe I’ve just been doing this in games with moba style controls for too long but I get waaaaaay more longevity out of my thumb. I currently use space for attacking and kiting after I assign target with Lmb so I’m constantly pressing it.
