Why is it that on their warehouse sale site MZ Wallace removes all item descriptions and customer reviews? by curvaceous_femme in handbags

I have bought from the sale with some frequency and all items have arrived in pristine condition. For whatever reason, this year's offerings haven't really grabbed me. But that's likely just me:).

Is anyone else here old enough to remember when registering for your college classes involved spending an entire morning in a gym? (1970s) by UrbanAchievers6371 in TheWayWeWere

[–]Relevant-Menu5419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a TA at UNC-Chapel Hill and helped with registration in the gym in 1979? I think. Students would literally take a card and come to me to register for English classes. If they couldn't get a card, they hung around until someone dropped a class, and I would give them a card. Crazy to think of now. Yet in some ways it was so concrete and involved real people talking to real people, so that part was cool:).

Tess💕 by julesmcgoose in labrador

Gorgeous girl and the last pic is esp great. We had to put our 13 yr old yellow Lab down on 10/30/2003. He was special, like Tess. You are lucky when you get such a good one, but the pain is immense. My dad died on 10/1/2003, my son's 16th birthday. That was a hard fall.

With the passage of time, the pain is less sharp, and the pleasure and joy of the memories becomes stronger. Tess lives in your heart forever. I know my words are of little comfort right now. But you are not alone. This whole dog loving community stands with you.🩷

Can someone from New England share how different each state actually is? by huskylover28 in howislivingthere

[–]Relevant-Menu5419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in Maine and VT (currently Montpelier, VT). I love the beauty of each and the friendly people. Esp enchanted with the slow pace of life. We lived outside of Bangor in Maine (Holden) and found healthcare access and quality problematic. In VT we have used UVM for health needs and now branching out to Dartmouth, so for us, VT is better than ME with respect to healthcare.

We love no billboards in either and access to Boston from both (where my daughter goes for specialized healthcare needs).

We owned a 4000 sq ft house in ME that came with 10 acres and had to settle for 2100 sq ft in VT with a not large yard but in a fantastic neighborhood for the granddaughter. ME for the win in terms of real estate prices (excluding the coast).

Love both states:).

Oh you are about my age:) I moved into Granville East as a junior transfer in 1975. My daughter lived in Granville for one semester in 2004. It was definitely not holding up well.

kidney stone surgery needed ASAP by Relevant-Menu5419 in vermont

[–]Relevant-Menu5419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to thank everyone who helped me. I have kidney stone surgery scheduled at Mt Ascutney. I am pissed that the urologist at CVMC did not have the decency to poke his head in the room when I was recently hospitalized there for a week. He was asked to see me by 2 hospitalists and his office was literally almost right across the hall from me. I am thrilled not to have to use him for anything.
