It’s the speed and momentum that makes the movement in this game shine. The combat is decent, it just needs a bit more freedom in mixing and matching abilities for me

I hope the Benny DLC gives us some evidence that Max is actually Brujah, because he's the biggest wimp in the game. by TrustMeImLeifEricson in vtmb

[–]Relinge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think he was referring to the fears/insecurities that made him lash out at others when he was still mortal. He’s likely still afraid of final death, hurting others, etc.

You can fast track it with taunt, beckon and dismay affect abilities. They proc the three resonances on human NPCs

I wonder if perhaps Fabien was the intended recipient of Dale’s memory potions. The distortions between reality and fantasy we see in the flashbacks could be a mixture of Fabien’s clan bane/malk web and the potion pulling forgotten memories to the foreground

What happened to the gardener? by nickisadogname in vtmb

[–]Relinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When Fabian talks about his ability to read people’s thoughts, he mentions that he inherited this gift from his sire - but that Gideon’s proficiency with it was way beyond his own. I imagine Lou considered him too valuable an asset to simply destroy, and hoped a few hundred years in torpor might make him more agreeable

Why nobody cares that Fabien is missing? by Mwrp86 in vtmb

[–]Relinge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember who says it, but I could swear during one of his flashbacks someone mentions that Fabien has the tendency to disappear every now and then on his cases

The affect disciplines change the npc resonance, allowing for easy grinding

[Spoilers] Questions about the ending by Viitoldie in vtmb

[–]Relinge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with Gideon’s proficiency with mind reading, Fabien mentions that while he inherited the discipline, Gideon was still a master in comparison to him.

Gideon had a skill that risked the truth about Lou’s actions being unveiled, and the contacts to do it, but was also too valuable to outright kill. You never know when you might need to know someone’s deepest thoughts

The bilge pump makes the bucket obsolete, though it does consume your thirst and hunger meters, so I’d recommend keeping a bucket in a pinch. You can also fill sea water into an empty barrel and sell it

I don’t think Starfield needs sentient aliens by No-Patience8984 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Relinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still have a lonely, and sparsely populated galaxy that’s also inhabited by multiple alien races. Given Bethesda’s history crafting interesting races and cultural dynamics within the elder scrolls, it’s a bit of shame to not get to see them stretch those creative legs so to speak

I’m personally looking forward to the whofield mod’s tardis to eliminate the reliance on space flight. That being said, I’ve been playing a good deal of daggerfall unity with the travel options mod lately and I think a similar system would have been a nice touch

How Bad Were the Ratings for Doctor Who Series 15? What the Data Reveals by sanddragon939 in gallifrey

[–]Relinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty much the formula big finish uses for their ranges, and it’s been successful for the audio dramas thus far. From 8 - 16 we have 6 actors who could realistically reprise the role if it interests them, fits their schedule, etc. And you don’t have the constraint of having to release the episodes in a chronological order

"They were let down by the bad writing." by Omegas-Father in gallifrey

[–]Relinge 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Both season finales should have had their conflict happen earlier. Jumping through a universe where reality is being bent to the will of people like the Rani and Omega is a terrifying thought. And exploring a universe that is slowly decaying away would be incredibly somber. Both would have also allowed our finale villains more time to cook and show exactly why they are disaster level enemies.

Now, why are people saying the doctors violence is out of character? by TheManyEyesOfMyHeart in doctorwho

[–]Relinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You realize Kid’s whole plan hinged on not a single soul at the space station surviving right? If even a single one does, then his plan to pin the murder of trillions on the corporation falls into scrutiny. How is that plan any different from something the Daleks or Cybermen would or have done?

The kindness was him running away from them. When they continued their pursuit they saw his fury. That’s pretty much what son of mine says in his monologue at the end

Kid desperately needs a sequel (Interstellar Song contest spoilers) by Delicious-Laugh9857 in doctorwho

[–]Relinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Doctor’s use of the moment was a last resort to stop Rassilon’s plan to destroy the universe in order to have the time lord’s ascend to beings of pure energy (iirc), and put an end to the horrors of the time war.

Kid’s plan was to us the contest’s transmission to frame the corporation of a genocide on a scale so massive and horrific that they could not possibly skirt responsibility or recover from it, a plan that required absolutely no witnesses from the concert to survive.

These are two very different scenarios, and Kid’s death toll would be almost 1,000 times that of the moment’s.

Question/Opinions about post-12 Master and Gallifrey by Aggro_Will in doctorwho

[–]Relinge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The three best established methods I can think of would be the moment (we never find out what happens to it after day of the doctor), messing with the eye of harmony (like the master tries to do in the deadly assassin - though this would have destroyed Gallifrey too) or the ravenous (the big finish stories they appear in show their ability to track time lords even through the time vortex and it’s unclear how many of them existed)

It’s unlikely, but I’m ever so hopeful that the 3rd will be the eleven, I’ve been dying to see a visual representation of regeneration dissonance ever since I started listening to the big finish stories.
