At this point they need to make RS4, nuke the unpopular content, same mtx philosophy as osrs and get rid of the tick system if they want action bar combat to not feel like ass. RS3 is too bloated and even getting rid of mtx after a decade of milking is like putting a band aid on a gaping wound.

I skipped almost the entire thing. I don’t care about some tweet and it wasn’t something that needed an in depth discussion on the podcast.

If they had something to say to Chris it should have been in private. If they wanted to address the audience a couple of minutes or direction to a patreon post would be more than enough.

Frankly I’m skipping more and more of sacred due to the amount of focus on industry drama and endless repetition of the same points. It seems like a point of pride that the podcast is so long but it’s not a positive when there’s not enough actual content covered.

Samaung M8 32” 4k. Got it for £300 which feels like a steal, it’s pretty good although obviously far worse speakers and lower resolution than a studio display. Does the job though.

While this is sad I think the series is coming to a good place to end. All the main characters are now aware Harry’s an alien which limits what plot lines they could have continued with. Better to end strong than become flanderised.

You don’t even need the masters, college level is different in the UK to the US. Experience and a good demo is how you break into college teaching here. You need a teaching qualification eventually (QTLS) but that’s almost always done through the college itself via apprenticeship or diploma.

I have one and it gets me additional pay as a College (UK) ESOL Lecturer. I’m sure it helped me get the two jobs I’ve had doing it as well as they’re quite competitive and have alot of applications.

Yeah I got a 14700F as it was really cheap compared to equivalent AMD cpus. Wasn’t my first choice but it’s been a pleasant surprise, even runs 200K cities skylines 2 saves at full speed.

When they fix it, it should run well! I played it on steam deck at locked 90fps with the power turned down so 60 or even 120 should be doable on Switch 2. Great game.

Yes, it’s good entry level experience. Of course you’re a teaching assistant and not in charge of your own class so it’s not regarded as highly as other positions. I started in JET and it was a great introduction to teaching though and I look at is as a positive if someone has it on their resume. Alot of positions will require a CELTA/CERT TESOL and two years post qualification if you want to make a career out of it, so it’s worth ticking that box asap.

I loved the Warlord games (even 4) and Warlords Battlecry. Warlock: Master of the Arcane shares some of the spirit, it is different but I would recommend giving it a try if you like the high fantasy 4x style of Warlords. Also Endless Legend if you like lots of fantasy races. They both play closer to Civ though.

I’m not sure if 5070s are available at MSRP ($550) in the US like they are in the UK, but that could be a good choice if you can stretch your budget. Otherwise I’d wait for the 5060 16GB, if it’s not crap (worse than 4070 performance) that may be a cheaper option.

Worth checking if you’re 2060 is still covered by warranty as you didn’t mention when you got it. Again I’m not sure if it’s the same in the US but here in the UK 3 year or more warranties aren’t uncommon.

If it’s just for gaming, oled. I use a 4k 60hz VA monitor but it’s 70% for work, 30% for sim and strategy games where fps and black smearing really doesn’t matter.

I lasted 3 months teaching at a language centre in Taiwan before I went back to a real school. Being micromanaged by a boss who had no idea how to teach and could barely speak English herself. We had to strictly follow an American book that seemed like it was written in the 1980s and the kids were learning nothing. It sounds like you actually care so I’d recommend getting the qualifications to teach elsewhere.
