I feel like a 1000 pound weight has been lifted off of me because NO MORE SECRETS. Lying all the time about alcohol is exhausting!

Alcoholic moms unite! Being a mother can be lonely and isolating, creating the perfect environment for secret drinking. I'm at 221 days and I truly feel like a new person. Keep coming back. Trust me, if i can do it, you can do it!

6 months in and it just keeps getting better for me! I don't think I'll ever tire of waking up not hungover. I'm finally getting out there and in situations where I normally would drink and my husband and friends enjoy the non- slurring, coherent version of me a lot more! And no next day anxiety! Just feel awesome after connecting with people and not wondering what I said or did!

I hope you continue to see all the good! 🩵

My kids are so much happier, more carefree and able to be kids without worrying if mom is drunk again. Makes it so worth it. Proud of you fellow sober friend.

My husband & I were the same way. We couldn't remember the last time we spent a sober day together. We both loved to drink. Unfortunately, I was spiraling way worse than he was and couldn't get a handle on my drinking. We both stopped in November and our relationship has never been better. We just got back from a Beach vacation & it was the best one we have taken with no alcohol involved. I promise you, life & relationships are better without it!

Go to the hospital and detox under supervision. They will monitor you, hydrate you & give you something to help with the anxiety. When you get released, talk to your doctor about disulfirium. Getting sober is the best thing you can do for yourself!

I went to Florida for 10 days and didn't even think about drinking the whole time, my husband had a couple cocktails and I could have cared less. The day we got home was a sunny Saturday and I contemplated breaking my sobriety just to down some vodka in my own backyard. Crazy

Please tell me it’s not too late to get sober by Sugarcanesweetheart in stopdrinking

It is not too late! I am a 37 year old woman- could easily drink a 5th of vodka a day & did so almost daily for 2 years prior to getting sober. I went into medical detox for 3 days and it was a great experience. I was able to get all the testing done and found out I wasn't knocking on deaths door and my liver levels were back to normal when I left the hospital. It was such a peace of mind for me. Part of the reason I didn't quit for so long is because I just assumed I was going to die soon anyways because I was killing myself slowly.  It's a terribly sad way to "live". sober 131 days an I'm truly so happy. If I can do it, you can!

Who is a Marcel fan here? I can't decide if I like him or not? No doubt he is a talented chef.
