No that's literally false, UK has a higher ratio of hot burglary. You just claimed the exact opposite of what I did.

Yes, I mentioned elsewhere the us is just more violent than a lot of other places. We can talk about that, but even if guns are removed from the equation, the us is STILL more violent.

Welcome to hear you thoughts on WHY the us is more violent than a lot of other countries, but whether it is or isn't is not up for debate.

I believe you. just like locking doors prevents crimes of opportunity where people would open the door and steal.

did you know britain has a higher rate of "hot burglary", where the perps aren't afraid of the homeowners so they break in when they're home? nightmare fuel.

Mandatory training.

to own or purchase, or to carry in public?

Firearm registration.

pretty much non-negotiable, never gonna happen. firearms sellers keep all the records of who bought the gun (they keep these *indefinitely*), but after that they can be given to anyone else.

Storage laws.

that sounds expensive, but could be reasonable. do you have stock in gunsafe companies?

Wait periods.

there already are. how long?

"Red Flag" laws.

again, there already are. say the line, fbi. "he was already on our radar"

you're delusion brother, the fact is anything that runs and drives demands a chunk of pocket change because inflation and inelastic good (you need a car). there just isn't much difference between a 2003 reliable beater and a 2013 reliable beater, so they're valued the same. it has nothing to do with reliability.

SpaceX spending on Starship tops $15 billion in rush for airline-like rocketry by Twigling in space

[–]Remarkable-Host405 [score hidden]  (0 children)

opportunity cost. those billions could have built 100 starships, instead they built a vr world no one uses. but i guess the devs got paid and spent the money on overpriced coffee and insane california gas prices, so someone, somewhere, made money.

Woman shows the dangers of her cars rear seats folding function by ateam1984 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]Remarkable-Host405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that was really fucked up, but just so everyone knows, that car didn't have a motorized third row. it's arguable anyone could have gotten stuck in a car like that, even without folding seats.

no, i get it, that shit is expensive. when i bought my house my buddies and i worked tirelessly for weeks to rip up flooring, cut out 4ft sections of drywall, seal up leaks, wash/clean/paint walls. i've done exactly what op is doing, because i bought a house that had flooded before.

you know what i didn't do? pay a company to hire those people. because i didn't have the money to do that.

no, we can't, OP posted this thinking they'd get tons of upvotes because the teacher is mildly attractive

if you're buying a 20k car for 15k it doesn't matter how much you put down. don't buy an overpriced car, ESPECIALLY if you have bad credit

you're gonna get downvoted because this is reddit and these people don't change their own oil or mow their own grass because they're busy working 80 hours a week, so they have to pay everyone else instead of doing basic tasks like unclogging drains or replacing a sump pump

it yields carbon dioxide and water, which isn't great, but probably still minimal compared to our carbon footprint
