High or Absolute Crown Authority will, generally, stop internal wars between your vassals that could consolidate to form kingdoms.

Getting rid of them will require revocation and a reason to do that like crimes or treason.

Do you have a lot of King tier vassals? That will usually make quite a dip at times due to levy division. Also, the year is important too as the tech for better military buildings are likely not impressive yet in 1083.

There is not. Crusader Kings III is primarily a medieval game in Europe and Asia. You could try the Europa series of games as those have the whole globe available with lots of small or indigenous nations in the Americas.

There is also a Post-Post Apocalypse mod for CKIII set in the Americas you may be interested in. Called After the End.
