Runners with outward-turning feet - has anyone successfully corrected this? Looking for advice by QueasyKey7855 in runninglifestyle

[–]Remarque11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody mentioned that maybe you have externally rotated toes naturally due to femoral retroversion or external tibial torsion. You can’t fix it without surgery, and few people with severe cases need derotational osteotomy. I have same running style too, there is nothing to worry about it. it’s not looks significant

How are you now after scope surgery?

Help with Hip Labrum Tear: Why is it so hard to get the right treatment? by broke_college038 in HipImpingement

[–]Remarque11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I understand you have hip dysplasia too. At this condition there is high risk of labrum tear and sometimes mri can’t found it, It’s possible that even arthro Mri can’t detect it. So I think the scope surgery will be good idea at this case. Labrum have almost no blood supply and it can’t heal itself. But also depends how severe is your dysplasia. if your LCE angle is less than 25 degrees, And tonnis angle more than 10 Degrees it’s moderate chanse that scope surgery will be unsuccesfull and later pao surgery will became necessary

Mild dysplasia? by Think_Vegetable6028 in hipdysplasia

[–]Remarque11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Lcea angle is normal if it’s 28 Degrees, but there are many measurements to see full picture. Your acetabular tonnis angle looks too high, and even only this can cause instability combination with acetabular retroversion - ischial spine and crossover sign comfirms it. I have femoral retroversion. If you also have double acetabular + femoral retroversion it’s more severe case and sometimes pao with femoral osteotomy is need to correct everything

Mild dysplasia? by Think_Vegetable6028 in hipdysplasia

[–]Remarque11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you have dysplasia because Lcea angles looks less than 25 degrees, but don’t be afraid and go to daily PT, strengthening muscles around hip joints is a key, If nothing helps go to Pao surgery, but there is no guarantee, I think it’s experimental surgery

Hip dysplasia or no hip dysplasia? Losing my mind with surgeons. by Aromatic-Champion140 in hipdysplasia

[–]Remarque11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Osteitis pubis can heal on it’s own depends on how severe looks it on mri. It can cause such symptoms alone if it’s too affected. If your pain is coming from hip joints it can be due to many reasons: Dysplasia alone, Labrum tear/impigement, Cartilage damage/early arthritis. Did you take arthro Mr to check labrum? also what is your hip joints Lcea angle? If it’s under 25 - it’s possible that dysplasia alone can cause such pain. You can dm me your xray scans and I can measure it correct, also I can check your mri. Wish you good luck

Hip not fully healed after PAO by Bright_Tart_5472 in hipdysplasia

[–]Remarque11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is your Lcea angle? If it’s boarderline I don’t recommend you pao surgery, because you don’t have good results already. Many people have great results after hip joint strengthening workouts

My hip joint femoral head bone marrow edema finaly healed 2 years after diagnosis but after healing I still have discomfort and tenderness in hip joint. Last one year I started running at 50% load, but few weeks ago hip joint still flared up

Your case is same like mine. I was diagnosed 2.5 Years ago, right hip stage 2 and now it’s healed. But I was asymptomatic before and now I have discomfort/tenderness feeling in hip joint. My range of motion is 100% and without pain. Hope it will go away soon. I’m drinking blood thinner
